Sorry to hear about the letter, you received. I would say, you are lucky, that they sent you letter in 24 month, in my case refusal letter was sent to us after 48 months, and that too giving very silly reason, marriage is not genuine.

About the visitors visa, I wish you luck, as you have all supporting documents, and in your case, these documents might help......and when your wife goes back that would solidify your case during appeal.

Hello All,

I must reiterate on certain aspect on the issue of refusal by VO, citing reason "Marriage is not genuine".
This can be and should be challenged, but at the cost of money, time and relationship....which are very important in everyone's life. In my case we provided documentary evidences like joint property papers, govt issues Election card (where spouse name is given), even the passport was renewed with married name.
I suggest the matter should be addressed so aggressively, that concerned VO should be penalized heavily, as this is just wasting govt. resources, and very importantly we are being deprived of our rights to live as a family.

I don't see the logic, VO refused Visa, we appeal, in most cases appellant wins, file goes back to VO, and just doubling everybody's work, and then claiming, the overload.

I agree that they need to find fraud and let real marriages thru, if they video the interview than some ppl should be allowed a new one based on VO not telling truth. I can't imagine waiting 48 months to hear no. We waited 7 months and was told no, we got email refusal about two days later. Hoping June 2017 comes faster, like in 2 months. Sorry you wait and get.told.no.

VO should not forget, the times have changed and frauds are the one who have more than enough evidences, to prove their wrong right. Even after providing wife's pregnancy and miscarriage documents, joint property and joint mortgage documents, VO did not think twice to convey her "NO". It is so painful, and hence have decided to take this matter to the top where it could be heard by all.

I received a refusal letter today. I had applied 25 months ago and I'm definitely going to appeal it but just have one question. Is it a good idea to apply for visitors for my wife meanwhile? Im in a situation where it's really hard for me to visit my wife where as she can and I have spoken to police department and they are willing to draft a letter for me explaining my current situation and and reason why it's difficult for me to visit my wife also local MP can write a letter to support my application and my family doctor can also provide a letter. But I'm confused because my visitors application was refused once about year an half ago but I didn't have all these things attached with my application. A prompt reply would really be appreciated please share your opinion or experience if you have gone through similar situation.

Unfortunately there's almost zero chance of the TRV being approved given the PR application refusal. I would save your money and not bother applying.

I agree, please do not attempt to obtain visit visa. Instead apply for US visa and meet there.

that is for a job.....that dont have anything to do with a person sponsorship file that going on right now.....If you live in Canada you can apply or if you live in another country and a Canadian citizen then you can still apply but i think they say that they are going to give their citizen first preference though.

But we hvnt got ny call from immigration .its 3 rd day today . Does nybody know what they gonna do now
