Hey client2014 how are you doing today... Im very sorry to hear that you got denied.. dont feel bad because mostly everyone on this appeal tread got denied but the great thing is the you have a better chance at winning your appeal.. I think you should appeal your case. As long as you prepare your evidence the right way and go over everything with your spouse you will do fine. You and your spouse have to be on the same page and that will sure let you win your appeal.... do not apply for and gcms notes at all because when you file for your appeal they will send you the blue book which is all the file that the visa officer has on your application. It will give you all the reason why the visa officer denied your application.

If you reapply most like they will denied you again for the same thing. take your chance at the appeal and you have a better winning percentage of winning your appeal than reapplying... but it is up to what you think is best for you and your spouse.

Yes client2014.......... i think you are doing the right thing.... you have the appeal thread to help you out throughout your appeal process.. Before me wife appeal our denial case i was very scared because i wanted her to just reapply and i found this forum and started to read from the start and i see that majority of the ppl win there appeal case and i got found some links for appeal cases and i read alot of them and come to find out that most ppl that lose there cases is because they contradicts themselves meaning one person say something and the other say something different to the same questions....this will give you time to be well prepare with your spouse. So just appeal and wait until you get the bluebook and try to get to lawyer or consultant to help you out with the appeal process... I read a couple stories on hear with ppl winning without use a lawyer still so that part is up to you.

My husband just had his interview it lasted for about an hour .... They only asked him like 8 questions first the officer asked for his passport he looked at it and asked my husband if he's ever been outside Canada my husband said no then he returned the passport and then he asked questions like how old is ur wife and what's her address....how did the relationship start...what time is it In vancouver.....

My husband took a lot of new relationship proof with him but the immigration officer didn't want to see much he kept looking at the things we submitted to them during our application time which was in 2013. But I went visited my husband twice after that and also we sent in each other's gifts and we even had proof that we were in contact everyday almost 4-5 hours I don't know how someone can still think that out relationship is not genuine. In the end of the interview the officer said I don't find your relationship genuine and said if we have anything else to show him so my husband gave him all our pictures after seeing some pics officer said I know you guys were together and the interview ended.

Has anyone been through similar situation ? And what can we do now ?

Hi Ajarupan, We won our hearing in Calgary on August 20.2015 ....by end of October 2015 I the sponsor received the copy of the request letter for updated documents, police certificate and Medical . Ecas said that they sent correspondence letter to my husband but he NEVER received it. I had forwarded to him through email the copy of letter that I received , so he was able to send all requested documents at requested time frame. December 16.2015 he received passport request and Last Monday January 18. he finally received back his passport with visa for Canada and "Confirmation of permanent residence " COP .Try to call CPC-Ottawa or send them an inquiery email .You should have gotten this already as your appeal won was around same time as ours ?

Dear Client2014, not sure the msg was sent or not, just to make sure, here is my message as below.

Hi Client2014, yes, no problem. I will tell you our process: after interview in Dec, 2014, we rcvd refusel letter by email, we were told in the email we could appeal or reapply, we filed appeal in Jan 2015 by sending them the appeal form, signed by sponser--my hubby, on the 5th, Jan, 2015, we rcvd the confirmed letter from appeal office Vancouver says they rcvd our appeal, along with it, there is appeal file number, and all the instruction you will need for further steps including what you need to do next. In March or April, 2015, we rcvd the booklet(which called blue book), it contains all our application info, how it was processed, and the dialogue in the interview. The blue book will be what the appeal office has as well. Then in July, 2015, we rcvd a phone call to confirm what time we would like to have the adr(alternative dispute resolution), we appointed 10th, Sep, 2015 for the ADR. We sent our evidence 20 or 10 days before the adr, my hubby attended the adr in vancouver, it was not allowed in the adr, were told they would like to hear from me as well, good thing is they settle the time for the full hearing right away which was 14th, Dec, 2015, then we waited and collected the evidence at the same time, sent to them 20/10 days before the full hearing. On 14th, Dec, 2015, they asked my hubby about 10 questions, they they phoned me and asked the same quesitons, our answers were the same, because im a Chinese, so appeal office has a translator standby, i didn't need, the cic lady who was asking questions didn't speak fast. at the end of hearing, i heard over the phone, they said they believe our marriage is genue. on the 16th, Dec, 2015 we rcvd the letter stating our appeal is allowed. Now we just wait for further notice from Ottawa or Hongkong office for re-medical and re-noncrime. we didnt hire lawyer, but looks like if you have a good lawyer, and if you have some difficulities, a lawyer could be help. If you want to hire a lawyer, you can hire it anytime you want, just to notify them once you hire one. This is our process, mostly, all process are same, and don't worry, all info you might need will be sent to you by appeal office once they rcve your appeal letter. Take care, be patient and enjoy life anyways, don't let the stupid cic officer scew our life.

Hi people.
I applied 2 years ago and my wife had interview end of November 2015 . Before interview she had medical and something came in x rays and she had to undergo more tests and had to wait for results. So my wife's medical wasn't cleared until interview date. She gave the interview and we couldnt tell how it went because according to my wife it was OK but she said I had a feeling the interviewing officer acted weird and seemed like she wasn't impressed. However I started waiting for her medical to be clear and then it was cleared Jan 21st. On Jan 22nd I checked the application status and it said decision made and in updates they had written that we sent you correspondence on your decision on December 17th. So I checked my postal mail and realized they had sent 2 letters one under my wifes name and one under mine but they were sent back because I didn't collect them in time. Now I spoke to few people and they suggested that it could be refusal letters. I'm so depressed since then and Ave written them and email as urgent but haven't got any reply from them, it's been almost a week so I'm guessing they didn't considered my email as urgent so I probably have to wait for another 2 to 3 weeks for the response from them. One immigration consultant also told me that I might not be elegible for an appeal either because it has to be done within 30 days. I'm seriously worried and don't know what to do. Could you please tell me if something similar happened to anyone here??? Please help I posted in another forum but no one replied back except one person and all he said you are lucky at least you got a response.
