hello to all on this forum. i applied for my husband in april 2011 and our case got refused sept, 29th, 2011. I got the refusal letter here in toronto in mid oct and appealed right away. Just had my ADR on mach 27th and it was successful. And now i'm just waiting for the approval letter from the immigration here in toronto so we can move forward with the case.

congrats Preetb!! I also appealed in December 2011. I received the "record" in March 2012. I met with my lawyer today and we are gathering more proof. He said that if i get the ADR then it will probably be in June. Good luck to everyone who is going through this, because we all know how stressful it is.

Hello livin! We also appealed in December 2011 and we have not received the bulk file from the visa office. What date in December did you send your notice of appeal? We sent ours during the last week of December. Also what date in March did you receive your "record"? My immigration consultant told me the same thing... if I get the ADR, it will probably be in June.

My lawyer submitted it for me in person in Toronto. He went there the first week of December 2011. I received the "record" middle of March 2012. He told me that he will now contact the Appeal office to inform them that he is representing me. They will then inform him if it will be an adr or full hearing. Just waiting nervously now...

thanks livin. i'm pretty sure the u'll get adr hearing date sometime in may. they ask alot of questions abt your marriage and your spouse? and how u guys communicate with each other. how well u know him and his family etc. where u guys met and how?

Good news! My immigration consultant just called. She received our file from Rabat, the complete file... all these papers coming back to haunt me. Now it is crunch time. We need to sit down soon and prepare a good file. It is time to fight!

I submitted my application on February 3, 2012 and got a bail on 28 February and Akhaddt approval Alkiubik on 21 March and sent my file to Jordan on March 1 note I am Syrian, and my wife is Canadian citizenship as possible was the difficult situations in Syria was the reason for the acceleration of acceptance I do not know I wish success to everyone and have information you soo wait much after I passed the first stage

my visa for canada got refused only because y sponsor did not stay in canada after the approval........visa offic say that he should stay until the decision is made.
please help what to do???

which approval ,,, sponsor,s one which is in Mississauga ??? or the approval decsion made from the visa office???

1. It can take up to a year for your sponsor's appeal to be heard, depends on the city.

Ok guys, i called the appeal board today and asked about the status of my appeal. The lady confirmed that i will get an ADR and that my file has been forwarded to the scheduling dept. I thank God for this news!!

I am in Toronto, and today we got the refusal letter for my husband in Rabat, we both so upset and don’t know how we are going to wait another year “maybe more”, we have applied on October 2011, and now we have go through the appeal process, it is so unfair that one person decide the fate of a family just like that........... do you have any advice for me pleassse since you went thorough the same circumstances
