Hi all Pakistanis.. please help a Pakistani sister in need.

I applied for my parent's visit visa on 22nd of August. My father is the primary applicant and mother is secondary. They got the confirmation and biometric form and they went on 28th to submit their biometrics. Then I didn't receive any update. 2 days later My mother's biometrics got completed but my father's didn't. and still it has been 14 days but no update. I know that biometrics are being delayed a lot these days I've read on other threads. But how is it possible that the finger prints taken 5 minutes apart didn't get through at the same time. What should I do? If 30 days are past their application will be rejected.

P.S. my parents told me that on the day they submitted the finger prints the VAC servers were down and they had to wait 2 hours just to give the prints.

I applied TRV on July 17, 2017 and till today I have no response by the embassy. If any one has the same situation, please update the timeline.

My mother applied for visa on July 19 and today August 29, we have got the email that processed passport has been sent to vfs center Lahore. Let us hope for the best..

Yes almost the same situation.... applied in july.... i think we just need to be patient, and let it happen when its time for it... i even e-mailed the embassy, but no reply. Paper application.

So If i have my parents are there in Canada as permanent resident so is it a positive thing or negative? I also have my wife & 3 kids in Pakistan.

I am sorry for delayed response. Yes it is positive that you have strong ties with your home and host country as well. It will definitely help you regarding your trv.

If you want to visit as a tourist then it is not necessary. Hotel booking doc is enough for your visit.

You do not need to worry regarding the status of your father's biometrics. CIC will definitely update you. It is possibility that there can be some technical issue from CIC end. You can also email them for this issue. It is fact that now a days delay is being observed in applications from Pakistan.
Why are you saying that after 30 days, your parents applications will be rejected???

i applied on 16th of may 2017 online trv along with my daddy and my elder brother and we have done bio metric at Gerry's Lahore on 18th of may 2017 but till now more than four months we did not get any reply from embassy, so anybody have idea why they are taking too much time in background checking, if they don't giving us visa then why they are still taking time or if they offer us visa how much time it need more???
and where is our application is going through at ISLAMABAD or at ABU DHABI???

Respected seniors members I have applied TV VISIT visa paper based and linked to online applicatiob I am salaried person and attached all documents but at 10 September got email notification. And checked my cic account my application is refused but the very next day received email ur application has been updated and and my status is as per screenshot
And final discussion colum is blank and I have not received my passport back and my vfs global account shows ur processed passport in still under process in Islamabad visa office 23/08/17

Dont be worry. your paper based application is still in under process and under review.

There was some technical error or system bug on CIC central website (Ottawa) and you received the message about your application refusal mistakenly.
As you said that you got email on 10th September (Sunday) and we know that staff members in federal immigration office Canada do not work on saturday sunday and their offices are closed on weekend. Kindly note all online status/applications are handled from federal immigration office. So the message you got on sunday was basically system generated message which was actually an error. Moreover, as you said also that you got updated message on very next day i.e Monday 11th September. It means they are working on your file and you will also receive such messages in future if your file is still in process.
