Asalamoalakum,

I have applied for a TRV(not a supervisa) for my grandmother about 35 days ago. Today we have received an email request to go for a medical at a designated medical centre. What does this mean? Please advise.

Canadian citizenzon invited grandma to visit us. After 35 days of sending application got email to send her for medical. Is this good news??

Yes it is a great news. Print the letter and attachment. Book appointment for medical and take the printed copy of medical request. Also, passport, 2 or 5 photos. Call the medical centre they will tell you what to bring on the day of medical.

Congrats !!!

Just fill and submit schedule 1 (IMM5257). It is required by CIC islamabad and at any rate, submitting an additional form doesn't harm even if they don't need it. But not having a required one does result in returned application.

If you have UCI number, by all means write it though i am not sure how exactly you got it. Generally those applying for the first time (visit, work, study) don't have any and simply leave it blank.

Hello, I need some help with super visa

I want bring my parents(mom & dad)to Canada , we are family of 4 and my income for 2012 was 28000 and will not increase so much this year as well, but my brother who lives in UAE and his income more than double than my income , and he is permanent resident of Canada but he don't live here ,

he said that the UCI number is from the approval letter. So I'm assuming his spouse has sponsored him. Odds are that the UCI on the approval letter is that of your spouse. If you are unsure, leave the UCI box in the application blank. If you are sure the UCI numbers is yours, then you can put it in the TRV application

That's very important info dotmatrix. I had no idea this could be the case. +1

Thanks for your reply. So does that mean that receiving the medical request tells that they are ready to issue the visa to my grandma? Or us it a standard protocol for them to ask everyone for medical? Also as you have mentioned to bring the passport for the medical appointment. We have submitted the passport with the original apication. Can we bring NIC instead??

Her health is good ALHAMDULLILAH. I hope she gets a visa.

Under normal circumstances, they ask for medical when they are moving forward with the application (read: going to approve it) Having said that, visa isn't approved until CHC says it's approved.

For document requirements, when you call them to book an appointment, you can ask them what documents you need and tell them about the passport situation. Hopefully, it shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks Dotmatrix. Very kind of you for your time. What u doing in UK?
