Hi, anyone moving to Alberta, check the link below for drivers license. Question is whether we still need international driving license and NOC from Pakistan.....

http://www.servicealberta.gov.ab.ca/pdf/mv/MASTER_GDL_UG_2010AUG05.pdf

Don't know about Alberta but for Manitoba we don't need International License but NOC is a MUST which is verified by Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Hi Usma,

It appears that your case is somehow matching mine one. i received medical request back in june, however, at the same time i was asked to submit documents for our new born (Fee, birth certificate etc). We did our medical in July however, we are waiting to hear back from our visa office regarding our baby medical. how long it took for you to have medical request for the new born, once you submitted the documents?

Thanks for the kind response,

Arise

I recently got mine & afterwards verified it from Ministry of foreign Affairs Office. I'm sharing a photo of NOC here which will give you clear idea about it:

To apply for Canadian Driving License, we need at least 2 years old driving license & a recent NOC which is not more than 1 year old. International driving license is useless as it is valid just for 1 month after landing.

I hope it helps.

Re: All Pakistani PNP Applicants submitted file @ CIO in 2012

Hi all

I posted a list of Goods to take along with us earlier which was shared by a FSW applicant. I modified it a bit & sharing it once again for your reviews. Kindly do give me your feed back. Have a look at it:

1. Carry few formal wear but mostly casual wear like Shalwar Qameez, Jeans & shirts, Inners, few shoes, joggers, slippers, socks, few sweaters, Woolen Caps, gloves & mufflers, Belts, Wallet/Ladies Bags etc.

2. Plastic Dinner set

3. All small kitchen/household items like whisk, stainer, grater, peeler, scissors and small items of daily use.

4. A complete Cutlery set.

5. Dont buy/take lots of clothes for kids as they are in growing age so six months stuff would be OK.

6. Just 1 Warm jacket/Long Coat for each family member. Buy rest of jackets from Canada.

7. Few self grooming stuff like Lotion, Shampoo, Soap, nails & Foot filer, Teeth brushes, Tooth paste, Combs & Hair brushes etc, just for survival. Also Ladies make up stuff.

8. You might not get furnished flat to start life. So consider buying curtains, cushions & pillows in compressed form.

10. Bed sheets for double bed/Single bed.

11. Plastic & Steel daily use kitchen ware.

12. Few packs of Masala/Spices again for survival only.

13. Extra Eye/Sun glasses.

14. Gillette shaving stuff as it is expensive there.

15. Carry Essential Clothes Only. For outdoors you need Pull Overs and Jackets , since all residences are centrally heated , you can easily wear cotton/moderate stuff dresses in your houses.

17. Carry Tawa, Regular Degchis(Pots), Pressure Cooker, Wooden/Steel cooking spoons, Steel/Plastic Glasses & Jugs, Frying pan, Sauce Pans, Plastic containers & Jars, Cups etc etc.

18. Buy Fleece Blankets or any other light weight blankets.

19. Carry three months essential medicines. You may need to produce a Doctors prescription on Airport for them.

20. For kids, buy School bags, Stationery & few toys.

21. Jaye Namaz, Topi, Quran-e-pak, Tasbeeh or other Islamic/Dua books.
