Hi everyone,
I pass the citizenship test yesterday but my wife didn’t unfortunately. What’s going to happen now for my application knowing that we applied as a family?

Thanks for your response.

I have the same situation, I passed (with decision made in the next day) and my wife failed the exam. more than 5 weeks passed and the re-test date for my wife is not specified yet. My application is frozen until she clears the test again. The application is considered non-routine now!
P.S.: I'm live in Ottawa too

Thanks Ramram for sharing your experience. So, if this is the case, then we have nothing to do except waiting... anyway I think you still fine and you’re in the normal delay (4-8 weeks) as CIC indicated and wish you to hear good news soon.
Please keep me updated if you don’t mind if things moves forward.

Hi,
We had test on 20 February and status gone DM today.

Wow... this sucks. It seems there's nothing to gain for couples/family to apply together as one can only delay the other... Failing the test is just one of the possible ways to delay - what if one person in the family needs a lengthy security check? That could delay everyone months at least. I'm just wondering if they'll still group couples together as one application even if two separate ones are sent in, say 2nd one a few weeks after the 1st one?

Looks like another week gone by ..Did any one got a test invite ?IP , 21st January..waiting for test invite

My wife and I passed the test on Feb 14 and the status still hasn't changed yet!! :(
i called them yesterday and they said that sometimes even after you get your citizenship it’ll still stay in process. They said just keep checking your mailbox.

I wonder if I can separate our applications at this stage? Is this option available?

I don't know... My guess would be no but it doesn't hurt to check with them.

I think it will take at least 2-3 weeks after the DM status to get the Oath notification, seeing as the next oath ceremonies are on Mar 2 and 3 (and it's too late to add other people now).

For the spreadsheet:

Test on Feb 21, 2018 (passed; CO said she'll approve my application, but security clearance is pending)
