I request your views on this:

Application reached CIO-Sydney on: 6-Feb-2012
Credit card charged on: 14-Mar-2012

Does "charging my credit card" mean my application package at least meets the initial screening criteria and check-list?

Thanks, RS

Yes rstd. This means you have crossed the first step and all the documents are in proper and in place. Now, CIC starts looking into all the information we have given in detail like the back ground check, Validating the employment details, Validating your duties and occupation, etc. for everything what you have filled out on the application forms. While these things are in process, we will receive an AOR(Acknowledement of receipt) number.

What I see from previous applicants is that, it is taking about 1.5 months of time to receive the AOR after CIC charing the application.

Good luck with your application!!

I sent out my CEC application on January 12, 2012

Application was successfully delivered on January 16, 2012

I made my payment with bank drafts, so I don't know if they deposited it yet

Questions:

Will I get AOR soon? in email or mail?

Is it true that once you get your medical form, you are pretty much good to become PR?!

Thanks everyone.

my credit card has been charged. However, when I check my credit card statement it shows the description as IMMIGRATION CANADA FSW - SYDNEY NS.

Not sure why its mentioned as FSW( federal skilled worker) when I have applied under CEC.

Has anyone else had the same experience wherein the description appears as FSW on the card statement instead of CEC ?

CEC falls under FSW only- I believe that's why it's mentioned as FSW. Donn't worry. My credit card statement has the same description.

My credit card was charged on 14-Mar-2012. I have not heard anything from them yet. Did you guys hear anything back?

I got my AOR on March 21, 2012

I sent my application on Dec 30th. And paid the fees through Bank Draft, so dont know anything about it. Haven't recieved anything(file number, AOR). Im little bit worried now :'(

@nicocalgary- did you also receive medical with your AOR? Was your application transferred to some VO? Please let us know.

Did you send your application to Buffalo or Sydny?Did your bank draft cash?
Did you check your e-cas?

Application reached CIO-Sydney on: 20-Feb-2012
Credit card charged on: 20-Mar-2012
waiting for AOR now...

I sent my application on Jan 12, 2012. Bank draft attached with application.
They received it on Jan 16, 2012.

I got my AOR on March 21, 2012. But, no medical request yet.
The letter is basically saying

" Your application is part of a group of files that has been transferred from the Buffalo visa office to the Case Processing Pilot-Ottawa (“CPP-O”) office to speed up the creation and processing of your application."

Good luck everyone. :D

Application Received : Feb 17/2012
