Hi All,

I just submitted my EE and have some questions:

1) While filling the EE profile, it asks "ii. In the last 10 years, how many years of skilled work experience do you have" - on this question how do they verify the work experience? What documentation is required as proof?
2) Are there any tips for entering the job seeker profile? It does not have a place to upload resume so should we just key in as many skills as possible manually?
3) What else can i do while waiting in the pool to increase my chances? I saw QFSW but they are looking at applications from Nov 2015 for India so is it worth while filling it now?
4) If I get a PR but continue to stay in USA, do i have any tax liabilities for Canada?

Thanks!

Just experience letter, and if you don't have it, don't add it.
2) Are there any tips for entering the job seeker profile? It does not have a place to upload resume so should we just key in as many skills as possible manually?
You don't upload, you just key in
3) What else can i do while waiting in the pool to increase my chances? I saw QFSW but they are looking at applications from Nov 2015 for India so is it worth while filling it now?
It's a long process takes about 2~3 years but if you like french it's sort of a sure thing that will come when all else fails (but you will have to pay it's fees)
4) If I get a PR but continue to stay in USA, do i have any tax liabilities for Canada?
You can provide proof of paying taxes in USA with your W2 or W4 (Idon't remember) and that will exempt you from paying Taxes in Canada but will also prove to them you are living in the USA not Canada and you will have problems renewing your P.R. Card and they may deny you re-entry after a while, please read more on this and verify it, I have no proof just what I read here and there.

Thank you for the response. One last question:
Can me and spouse both create an EE profile and submit application? As long as we are declaring that we are married and our spouses will accompany us.
I could not find any faq saying we cannot create 2 profiles.

I have no clue, but I'm guessing create 2 profiles, check which one has higher points, kill the other one

Hi Shereef,

I have similar situation as far as working on H1B, however I applied through SINP OID stream. I am not sure what I should be expecting next with my application. Is it Med request or RFRP , etc?

Usually medical comes first then RFRP then PPR

Are you PNP paper based applicant? I see from your status you cleared Medical. How long from AOR did you receive this request?

In express entry, you get invitation to apply when u get enough points (either on your own or by nomination) then you get your medicals done then submit all your document to CIC online (upload) then you get AOR within 24~48 hours of the upload

Note:AOR Received.: 27-09-2016
Med's Done....: 23-09-2016

so medical before AOR

Hi All

I don't know if this is the right forum to ask this (If not please let me know where to post this.)

I got the email for COPR and sent my passport to CANADA. I want to know:

1.) What is the landing process. Currently I am in USA (on WORK VISA), can I take a flight to any airport in CANADA or I need to go for any particular port of entry?. What all documents should I carry and what all questions will be asked at port of entry.

2.) I don't have any job offer in CANADA. Once I reached I need to search the job. Will it affect anything. How do I notify CIC about my address (Once I take any apartment on rent) so CIC can send the PR CARD.

3.) Once enter in CANADA can I come back to USA (as I have work permit) before getting the PR CARD (In case of any urgent situation and I have to return back). Let's say I enter in CANADA and be there for a week or so and return back to USA or India and I update my friend address in CIC to send the PR CARD. Will that work or is there a minimum duration that I need to stay.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Any port of entry, all the documents you sent/uploaded, list of items u have with you and a list of items you will bring in later.

2.) I don't have any job offer in CANADA. Once I reached I need to search the job. Will it affect anything. How do I notify CIC about my address (Once I take any apartment on rent) so CIC can send the PR CARD.
There is an online Link to update ur address after landing.

3.) Once enter in CANADA can I come back to USA (as I have work permit) before getting the PR CARD (In case of any urgent situation and I have to return back). You can come back but you can't re enter Canada without or card or you need to fill a form and send it to get a stamp again on your passport

Your friend can send you the or card and you can re enter

I don't know how much time but if you stay away from Canada for too long they can deny you entry

Thanks in advance for your help.
