Hi Guys,

I would like to open this topic for all the people who already did the landing procedure and waiting the PR card.

i am starting to be worry since I have a trip outside Canada next June and I need the card to travel outside the country, otherwise I have to apply for Permanent Resident Travel Documents and I would like to avoid that.

Please share your time line..

I did the landing in Carway border on April 26

Thanks

Wrong post sire!
There is another forum called Settlement Issues. Your post belongs to that topic.

Hi Andrew,

How long did it take to get your COPR from CPC - otttawa, after you submitted your bio date and pp copies with photos?

What is the expected time to get the pr card in mail? usually around 2 months . CIC website says 42 days.

Thank you.

If you are on BOWP until getting the PR, do you have to leave the country for the days you are waiting for the PR card?

Hi there, I saw you used Carway border to do your landing? Do you mind letting me know of your experience and what time you went. I have heard that carway is a tough border. Did you have a US visa? Apologies for the 1000 questions.

We landed on Sept 5 and hoping our PR card should be in mail next week already - they say right now the processing time is 44 calendar days, we are past that already. Excited!!!! :D Please keep us posted here once you get it so I can start my countdown :)

Do we have to apply for initial PR card or does the process start automatically once we have landed?

The process automatically starts once you land, so you don't need to do anything.
