Does this count as a refusal to "cross" the border? I have heard if you do this then you get a mark against your name and next time you try to enter the US you have trouble. I have also heard that it is totally fine and has no negative impact. Does your passport get stamped refused entry to US?

thanks i'm so confused I called carway border and they told me you don't need a visa to do the landing formalities for Canadian papers. is there anybody who has "landed" at the border without a US visa. And then also applied for a US visa after that and had it approved???

the coutts border is the one near lethbridge right? Do you know if you need a US visa to do this? I have heard that if you flagpole without a US visa they mark your name that you were denied access to US which then has a negative impact for future when applying for a visa.

Thanks I'm thinking MAYBE that is a factor on how quickly medicals get passed. Just a thought .... I know I know..... there is no way of knowing and it is random. :( :-X
