All Bangladeshis going to Canada this Fall'2012 join here

Hi Everyone -

I m very new here - join today - I want to go Canada in Study permit next Jan 12 - Now i have serveral question and if u answer me then it will be gr8 -

1. i complete SSC 2000- Diploma in Computer Engineering in 2004 - after that Bachelor IN CSIT (2 years = 107 CREDIT other waiver) but its end at 2011.
2. Total i have 17 years of study and also i m doing job and have almost 4 years of experience
3. I have my spouse with me - so he also with me in the application
4. My total sponsor amount can show 50 Lac (My father + My Father in law)
5. Seat on Ielts on Aug 04 - i expect 6 band

Now can u pls suggest me can i get student visa wht is my chance here with my spouse together -- or US is good for me - and also pls if u suggest the course that can helps me to get the visa than it will be gr8.

I will be going to Halifax so guess timing is dif in Qautar bt anyway Emirates was d only option for me. Bty those who applied or think of applying by CUAC They R USELESS IN VISA WORK i could have applied a whole week earlier bt they made me waste time creating papers which are not needed anymore n nor could i get a date with their councilor, i got my appointment shifted 3 times n then HAD ENOUGH
VFS did not take half the things they made me create so dont reply on them better go to VFS n ask or get a private councilor there is no shortage on them in Dhaka

those thinking of living out of uni there r bangladeshis there bas keep nagging CUAC till give them theior emails n then talking will make thing easier.

Which university in Halifax u'll be attending Sid? To my knowledge CUAC only deals with Saint Mary's university there. Could u please share your application submission date?

GET UR EFFIN TICKETS ASA-F-P !!! qatar is booked; emirates are sometimes available and on peculiar dates (starting from 25-26th they have only 28th august, 2nd/3rd sept) based on 3 different travel agencies i've tried (bismillah @ abu dhali road, kalabagan and sum two other dudes ive just talked over the phone) ... it seems that etihad is the best option if money doesn't matter , they're HUGE!! it costs about 2200 USD for a single transit (dhaka>abu dhabi/doha>canada) others have two transit systems (dhaka>doha>london>canada or dhaka>bombay>london>canda or dhaka>doha>new york>canada) i chose Jet airways because they seem to be the only ones available under 1,20,000 BDT in 30th August, i booked there, the only problem is it's the dhaka>bombay>london>canda route with 9.30 hours in bombay transit, 8 hours in london transit, but they seem to be flexible if the need for changing dates should arrive since they have more flights available around and you just travel once :/

Hello,

I have been accepted to a public university as a transfer student. The university has accepted 33 credits from my previous academic work. As they accepted 1 year worth credit towards my B.Com program, I might need only 3 years to complete my degree. So, I stated in my student visa application form that expected duration of my study will be 2012 Sep-2015 Sep. Though in my offer letter it is written that the length of all bachelor program are 4 years. So, did i make a mistake then by stating 3 years to be my expected duration of study. Please answer???????????????????

where is your destination in canada ??

your school should have stated that "you have been admitted for year 2 program" beginning of your course date and the ending date which is 3 years. I had same direct entry for year 3. though initially, they sent me conditional letter but when I fulfilled the conditions that included 150CAD for transfer of credit, they now sent me unconditional letter that explained everything in details. You can still get visa with your own letter but I wanted to clear my conditions before I applied. Good luck mate!

Thanks for the info. Well, I will be attending the university there as a 1st year student but i will have less course load, as i have been awarded 33 transfer credits for my previous academic work in Bangladesh. My program will start from 4 September and the length of the program is 4 years from the starting date. I have stated 3 years as my expected duration of study in my visa student application form. Because 33 awarded credits are worth of 1 year academic work.

sure i applied on 18 June, application been in transit for 8/9 days and i got email the application complete on 13 July.Tomw i will go to collect passport n yes i am attending Saint Mary's

Oh, That's nice. So did it take only 1 month to get your visa stamped? You are lucky one then. I applied for my visa lately due to prepare some of my docs (submitted on 12 July). My application is under processing since 18 July. As my class will start from 4 September, I am a bit worried to get my visa on time. Do you think VO will look to the class starting date of the applicant before processing other docs? Because if they be aware of my class starting date then they might try to complete my visa processing work sooner. Inshallah.

the faster they work depends on the number of applicants working on, june july is always busy month i dont know if they consider class dates, i heard of students who arrive one week after start of class due to ticket n visa issues bt really i think u r far lucky that in just 3/4 days it reached processing mine was stuck for 8 days by now the number of files r lower so InshAllah time frame will reduce. Be hopeful

I will be attending Dalhousie University, B.Com (Co-Op), Halifax, NS. same as your place. Well I also didn't expected that my application will be received so soon. But Allah knows now how many days they are gonna take to make a decision. I have already contacted an agency to book a ticket for me within the range August 27 to 30. So, i might not face any ticket issues probably, Inshallah.

I thought you would be getting your visa tomorrow, but you are actually getting a decision (Tensed, Huh!don't be . Inshallah you will get a positive decision. And please let us know about the visa decision tomorrow. I am pretty excited to know about your one, as we are heading to the same place. Good luck .
