So my Dad is provding his trade license, affidavit of sponsorship, income tax certificates, capital audit, bank statement, CA evaluation of fixed assetts like land/property, stock market. Should all the documents stated above meet the needs?

Does he still need to include a sponsorship letter and a written explanation to the source of funds (as mentioned in the checklist)?

Are the all the same? Either way, what's the format in which each is written?
No all are not the same.

Affidavit of Sponsor
This is written in stamp paper and has a sign of both lawyer and sponsor.

Sponsorship letter
This is like Affidavit but without stamp paper and lawyer sign. Just a letter stating that sponsor will take your cost etc etc..

Sponsor's source of income
this is trade license or employment letter.

When you get the medical call instructions will be given in the email for passport submission if you have applied through VFS. If you have applied online you will get seperate email asking for passport.

Aurko, r u sure that u can manage this high tuition fees of CAD 26000/year..!!! Its too much I think, where most of the good uni's tuition is around CAD 15000/year.

So ur total 1 years expense will be CAD 26000 + CAD 10000 = CAD 36000/year = CAD 3000/month = BDT 2,40,000/month which is around ur father's full monthly income.

Please think twice before going to such high tuition unis.

Thanks. You applied Online and got passport request in a later date, right? You submitted your passport to VFS or courier directly to Singapore? I actually applied online just like you.

This huge amount of expense, u want to earn by on-campus jobs/co-op without any funding from uni..!!! Nothing to say, just best of luck.

According to embassy rules, ur financial assets meet the minimum requirements. Best of luck for ur visa also.

Nistar_ahmed, let us know your status!

I am about to submit my application next week and there are few things I would like to confirm

1. In the IMMI1294 Application form which amount shall I put in Funds available for my stay in CAD? Is it the one which is in my dad's (sponsor) bank statement and convert it to CAD?

2. In the family information form IMMI 5645 I am not sure what I should mention in the Present Occupation field when I am not particularly doing anything. I did my Bachelors from London in 2011. Then I did couple of internships in London. Since then I have been doing some freelance work here and then for a small company based in London. At the moment I am in Bangladesh and not doing much other than the freelance work which is part time.

As I am planning to do my post grad in Canada and applying for a study permit I am not doing anything at the moment which makes complete sense. What should I mention in the ''present occupation section''?

3. I just want to make sure I am submitting all the forms. Please could anyone let me know if I am missing anything or whether I have included all the forms?
  • IMMI 1294 Application form
  • IMMI 5654 family information form
  • IMMI 5483 Document Checklist form
  • Travel history information form (http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/singapore-singapour/visas/52_2.aspx?lang=eng)
