Let me know your academic profile. The documents you mentioned are alright (bank statements+letter of employment and etc).. but remember it will be best to show tax assessments for you and your parents. Also make an affidavit stating you are self-employed and received money from whoever you had.
Thank you very much for your response. I am showing my father's tax assessment for the last 2 years. My mother is not eligible for tax payment, any idea what I can do about that and show it on my application? How can I write that I'm self-employed, but I'm not. I'm stating that I'm receiving the money from my parents, and do small freelancing to support my daily life.
U r a self-funded student and get acceptance from college, so u have to prepare a concrete application to secure ur visa. I mean, try to show as much money u can. Only the marginal amount can lead u to a rejection. Where VO can doubt about ur intention/actual purpose.
I am showing around $2000 more than it is usually necessary. For both of you guys, I have prepared my SOP like the following, can you give me a feedback on that?

Respected Sir/Madam
I, Imtiaz Ahmed, have completed my Bachelor in Business Administration majored in Marketing from Khulna University. I am prepared to further deepen and refine my expertise in Marketing, which has led me to take admission in one of the top Colleges, Centennial College, Canada. I will be taking up the Post Graduate Certificate program course named: Marketing – Sales and Account Management.
I have been pursuing my career in business since I was given the opportunity to and have returned some outstanding performances through that. In my university life, I accumulated a great result along with fantastic performances in both local and global competitions such as GeeBiz Global Business Case Competition and Unilever Bizmaestros. As I started to look at the job potentials within my country, I came to realize that it would be a great asset to have a postgraduate education certificate on a specialized course of my major field – Marketing. I was very disappointed to find out that, similar specialized courses are not offered in any institute of my country. Hence, I opted for a postgraduate program abroad.
I shortlisted three potential countries to do a postgraduate program, but after consulting with my instructors and checking course contents thoroughly, I am convinced that Canada is a better option as it has developed an excellent education system with high standards and global recognition. A certificate from Canada will give me a sufficient boost in my country’s job market. Canada is considered peaceful, safe and orderly country and its culture is more diverse and vibrant. Tuition fees and living expenses are also in favor of Canada when compared to other countries with equally good education system.
When I was researching to find appropriate institutions for specialized courses on Marketing, I came to find that Centennial College offers a comprehensive post graduate program on Marketing Sales and Account management. Given the fact that it is just a one-year course, I thought that, in a very short time, it would add significant value to my resume and will strengthen my application in the jobs I will be applying to in my country. Since I’m also trying to set up a business, not only that this program will help me with my job potentials, but also, I will be able to input a lot of the learning in my business as well. I will also further continue my studies and will be enrolling myself in a Masters program in my country, a Post Graduate Certificate Program on Marketing will also help me with my applications in the near future.
As I have mentioned earlier, I am in process of setting my own business. I plan to get that certificate and return to my country and use my learning and expertise on the business. As for career, I will be looking to get into a reputable organization in the country as well. Also, all my family members are permanent residents of Bangladesh and they don’t wish to leave the country at all. Hence, no matter where I go, I will always have to come back to my country in order to support my family.
I am showing the sufficient funds with my family support to meet the college tuition fee, travelling expenses and my living cost during my stay in Canada. I have enclosed those documents with my application. Please consider my request at earliest possible, so that I would meet my course in time and also find the necessary documents attached with this application.
Sincerely,
