Hello Everyone,

Lately CIC has become very strict on PCC and there have been a lot of posts from Indian and Pakistani applicants about rejection due to "time bound" and "geography bound" PCCs. As you all know, BD PCC is issued by local police stations which also mention a specific address of the applicant. So are you submitting PCCs from all places in Bangladesh you've resided in Bangladesh in past 10 years or just one?

In my case, I have stayed in 2 different locations in Dhaka in past 10 years. My permanent address is also in Dhaka city although I am not residing there for past 15 years. I have got the PCC issued by the police station in my permanent address and I can get a second one for my present address as well. However, for the address I stayed just prior to my current one, I don't think I can get any PCC because that address is not mentioned in my passport any more! What should be the solution? Should I just submit the PCC for my permanent address and when filling up the e-apr, state that I stayed in this address for past 10 years? (As this is shown in my passport)

Looking forward to your experienced advice. Thanks in advance.
Hi Shipper, see the above comment from iceage and don't worry. In BD, wherever you submit your PCC request, it goes to foreign ministry for sign and counter sign. Don't worry, it will be just fine. Just follow the procedure mentioned in BD police website. Best of luck.

Yes, mention that you are doing an upfront medical exam for PR application under express entry system. Bring your passport and the ITA letter. Give them a call before visiting them and ask them for details. Best of luck.

In case of Bangladesh, we need to submit only one either for Permanent address or present address. I've submitted for my present address which is in Dhaka. I got my GCMS notes and it is written that PCC is OK.

Thanks for your answers. Really appreciate it. So when filling out the post ITA application form, in the address history section, what should I do from below:

1. Should I state only the permanent address (I didn't reside there in past 10 years though and my other docs show my currents addresses, example: Bank Docs and Birth Certificate)? Or
2. Should I state the present addresses in that section and upload the PCC from my permanent address and attach an LOE explaining that my PCC states my permanent address and it is issued by DMP which is the authority for PCC for all my residing addresses (both permanent and present)?

I learnt that while the visa issued in passport, it will be single entry visa. And you need to land at Canada to secure your PR. Is it the same case for you who already got PR?

What is the visa category you got on first hand? How much time they given for first entry?

Thanks for your suggestion!

Hi, I will explain my situation. My permanent address is in Kurigram, where i did not live during the last 10 years. But my passport has this address. I submitted my PCC in Kurigram Thana and got it from Foreign ministry signed/counter signed by lots of officers from both places. It worked perfectly fine. You can explain in your LOE if you wish.

Yes, its a single entry visa. VISA category is IM-1. I believe the expiration of this visa depends on a few things, mostly your validity of medical. I did my medical on 6th July 2015. My visa issues on 5th January, 2016 and its valid till 15th July, 2016. Hope it helps.

You have to include all the members of the family while filling up application even though they are not accompanying you.

Dear Mates,

I made an mistake during paying my RPRF fee. I had an understanding that I could pay this fee using MyCIC account. So I just follow the RPRF request letter instruction as below -

"Please note that the requested information/documents must be received within 7 days from the date of this correspondence. Please upload these documents to your MyCIC account."

So I uploaded the RPRF request letter, transmitting the documents and seeking option for making additional payments. Later, I discovered that I should pay using different channel and should upload the payment receipt and then should submit.

Now I really got worried regarding this issue. Please suggest if I did any wrong taking the following steps -

I open a Case Specific Enquiry (CSE) at Singapore office and provided a LOE attaching my payment receipt, RPRF request letter and request them to forward it to concerned visa/case officer.

Did I do any wrong? Do you have any other suggestions for me?
