I contacted with IOM in the given number. They told me one way ticket fare in Turkish will 68000. But my travel agent quoted both way Tk 124650/- in the same airline. Where is the benefit? China Easter Airways fare is super cheap but its service level is completely unknown to me.

One way ticket is always costlier than return tickets. And of course, if you can find cheaper flights by your agent, buy from them.. And please share your agent as many of us here are going to fly Canada this year... Hope we all will meet there..
And by the way dont choose China Easter Airways if you are going with family. If single, you can try it..

Is there anyone who has submitted his passport before 20/12/2016 but not yet received it back???
I submitted my passport on 19/12/2016. Till now no VFS STATUS UPDATE.m, only showing its under process. But within 30 days Passport back korar kotha, tai na?

Feeling tensed... what to do?? does anybody has any experience like this??

৮. টরন্টোতে প্রতিমাসে কি রকম খরচ হতে পারে তার আনুমানিক একটা কম খরচের হিসাব নিচে দিলাম:

ক. বাসা ভাড়া ১ বেড- লিভিংরুম- ডাইনিং-কিচেন- ওয়াশরুম: ৮০০-৮৫০ ডলার
খ. হাইড্রো বিল (ইলেকট্রিসিটি বিল): ৭০-৮০ ডলার (দুই মাসে)
গ. মোবাইল ফোন যদি কম খরচের কানেকশন নেন তাহলে মাসে নূন্যতম ৩৫ টাকা
ঘ. খাবার খরচ জনপ্রতি ১০০-১২০ ডলার
ঙ. বাস/ট্রেনে যাতায়াত, লণ্ড্রি এবং আনুঙ্গিক খরচ ৫০ ডলার ধরে রাখুন
(অন্যান্য আরও অনেক ধরনের খরচ আছে যা আমার পরের পর্বগুলোতে আলোচনা করবো)

যারা কানাডায় একেবারেই নতুন, তারা আসার পর যেকোন কাজ পেতে একটু সময় লাগতে পারে। তাই বাংলাদেশ থেকে ২-৩ মাস চলার মতো টাকা নিয়ে আসাটা ভালো। একটা কথা এই বেলা বলে রাখি, বাংলাদেশী টাকার সাথে কানাডিয়ান ডলার রেট চিন্তা করে যদি কানাডায় খরচ করেন, তাহলে মন খারাপ হয়ে যেতে পারে। এখানকার লিভিং স্টাইল এবং খরচ অনুযায়ী চিন্তা করাটাই বুদ্ধিমানের কাজ।


ভালো লেখা, কিন্তু লেখাটা মনে হয় বেশ অনেক দিন আগের। কারন সব কিছুর দাম বেড়েছে। কিছু জিনিস শুধু add করতে চাইঃ

ক. বাসা ভাড়া ১ বেড- লিভিংরুম- ডাইনিং-কিচেন- ওয়াশরুম: বেস্মেন্ট হলে ৭৫০-৮৫০ ডলার আর আপার্ট্মেন্ট হলে ৯০০-১০৫০ দলার
খ. হাইড্রো বিল (ইলেকট্রিসিটি বিল): ৮০-১০০ ডলার (দুই মাসে) [depends on use of course], পার্কিংঃ ২৫-৭৫ ডলার। কিছু কিছু এলাকাতে hydro ও parking included থাকে। বাসা ভাড়ার ধারনা নিতে viewit.ca দেখতে পাড়েন।
গ. মোবাইল ফোন যদি কম খরচের কানেকশন নেন তাহলে মাসে নূন্যতম ৩৫ টাকা. এক্ষেত্রে freedom mobile. unlimited talk and text + 3gb data সহ মাসে ৪৫-৫০ ডলার।[smart phone সহ]
ঘ. খাবার খরচ ৩ জনের family হলে মাসে ২৫০-৩৫০ ডলার
ঙ. বাস/ট্রেনে যাতায়াত, লণ্ড্রি এবং আনুঙ্গিক খরচ মাসে ১০০-১৫০ ডলার ধরে রাখুন [মাসিক বাস পাস ১৪২ টাকা এছাড়াও টোকেন পাওয়া যায় ২০টা টোকেন ৫৭ টাকা, আপনি চাইলে ৫টা ১০টাও কিনতে পাড়েন। দাম একটু বেশিও হতে পারে কারন গাড়ি কেনার পর এগুলো অনেক দিন কিনিনা]

চোখ কান খোলা রাখলে আর নাক উচু স্বভাব [খারাপ ভাবেই বললাম] না থাকলে খাজ পেতে কষ্ট হবে না। কানাডায় পা দেয়ার ৩ দিনের মাথায় কাজ পাওয়া সম্ভব [আমি নিজের এর উদাহরন]। ১ ডলার = ৬০ টাকা এটা যত তারাতারি ভুলতে পারবেন ততই মঙ্গল। ইন্টারনেট খুবি জরুরি। এখানে মোবাই আর ইন্টারনেট বলতে Bell আর Rogers. সরাসরি এদের লাইন নিলে খরচ অনেক পরবে [৮০-১০০ ডলার মাসে]। থার্ড পার্টির মাধ্যমে নিলে এটা ৪৫-৬০ ডলারে নেমে আসবে। অনেকে খাবারের বেলায় হালাল-হারাম খুজতে পাড়েন। নো চিন্তা, সব আছে। টরন্টতে অনেক ইন্ডিয়ান, পাকিস্তানি, আফগানি এবং বাংলাদেশি দোকান পাবেন যেখানে হালাল মাংস পাওয়া যায়। এখন চায়নিজ দোকানেও হালাল section আছে। মসজিদেরও অভাব নেই।

If it is a day long session then I have to take a leave from office. If these session repeats in every hours or so then I will just take a short leave from office.

I'll be attending the session to. They sent me an email with the following info:

The online session is delivered in two days:
· Group Orientation Session (GO Session): Start time: 9.00 am (Indian Standard Time). Overview of Canada, the current economic situation, overview of Canadian provinces and regions, understanding destination and occupation options, challenges facing newcomers in finding jobs, solutions to those problems, writing a Canadian style resume, taking a Canadian interview. It will be for 8 hours.

· Personalized Planning Session (MAP Session): 25th , 26th or 27th January. It involves developing an action plan (MAP) with a Canadian trained Orientation Officer, referrals to Canadian agencies that assist immigrants, and referrals to employers. You will be notified of your MAP Session timings on 24th January, evening. It will be for 60-90 minutes.

I think it is better to purchase ticket on line through credit card. Because u can get it at least two to three thousand lower than travel agent specially for Turkish Airlines.

I thought like that too. But Turkish Airlines package shows the lowest fare for me, my wife and child to be 2,24000 taka on their website for 24th April, whereas IOM took 1,88000 taka. That's why I am happy with them...

Hello group mates,

After long time, I got doc request from manila :
1. update personal information.
2. PCC
3. Original of all passport issued to me. (!!!!).

and they wrote : All requested documents, unless specifically instructed to submit an original, should be
sent as an email attachment to MANILIMMIGRATION@international.gc.ca.

So should I send all original passports to manila. Be infrom that still i haven't got MR.

Need your advise.
