Hello everyone,

I am Mohammad Masum Billah.I am from Bangladesh. I already have visited Canada (April 22, 2016 - May 8, 2016). Now, I am in Japan. My wife and me is doing our PhD in Japan. My wife is in Japanese government scholarship and I am privately financed. Our PhD will end on 2019. So, now I am afraid about the PR residency obligation. I think that as I have entered on April, 2016 my PR card will expire on April, 2021. So, if we enter canada on 2019 ( may be December) we will not be able to maintain the 730 days. So, how can we renew our PR? What will happen to our PR as we don't meet the requirements?? Please give me some suggestion.

Hello there,

You must stay 730 days to maintain your PR status, otherwise it might be cancelled. My suggestion will be spend your holidays or vacations in Canada during until you finish your PHD. For more info read carefully- http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/newcomers/about-pr.asp and http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=727&top=10

I have finished my medical on 13th May and two days later ECAS shows medical result has been received. Dr. Wahab's attendent informed me that they found everything ok so they uploaded the result.
Can anyone plz tell how many days it took to show medical passed after medical result received?
I also sent PCC, rprf, bio page photocopy on 3rd June which were requested along MR.

Hello everyone,

I am new to this forum and would appreciate your help for my case:

I am a FSWP 2014 applicant, my application is in progress now and I have not received my MR yet. I have applied as single applicant.
I will be getting married in September, 2016 inshaAllah and my Fiance is a US citizen.

Can anyone guide me that whether the change is my martial status will be an issue
1. To process my Canadian PR further?
2. After marriage, my partner will sponsor me for spouse PR. Will my application to canadian PR affect the processing to US PR?
3. What are the steps that will be required to add my spouse to canadian PR?

Looking forward to your valuable feedback.

Thanks in advance

Hello there,

Marital status change is a very important issue. You have to inform CIC as soon as possible with relevant documents when the status change. Remember your PR process is not completed until you land. Do not hide the fact that you got married otherwise you will be in trouble. To answer your questions:

1. I have already answered that.
2. Canadian PR has no relation with US PR. So no effect.
3. When your marital status change, your process will be halted and the case officer will ask for relevant documents for your spouse and the process for your spouse need to be completed before you land. If your marital status change after you land, you have to go through spouse sponsorship and that is a different process.

Check the link how to report status changes- http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=052&top=3

Hello there,

There is no status medical passed in ECAS. If everything is OK then you will get passport request and that doesn't take long as your immigrant VISA validity starts from your medical day, so case officers try to send passport request as soon as possible.

Hi Mate,

I have been refused for UK visa back in 2012 due to fund issue. While applying at CIC shall i mention yes under the question that whether you have refused visa from any country?

Does that rejection will affect my CIC application?

Thanks in advance Bro.

No ideas , I have been refused 4 time student visa from usa. Reason was not come back after study. I am still in process. I think is not big issue, only it may take more time in security check.

Dear all,
we submitted PP on 5 May'16.

Yesterday evening I received an email from visaapplicationalert@vfshelpline.com as "Your Decision received in Canada Visa Application center, Dhaka on 09/06/2016 from Canadian High commission,Singapore". Also Online info has asked me to collect passports from VFS dhaka and these ready to deliver". But yesterday night I received another email stating "We would like to inform you that your processed passport has been dispatched from the Canada Visa Office, on 09 Jun 2016 to the Canada Visa Application Centre". This is different statement. I tried to email to VFS Bangladesh but unable to deliver the email since inbox of respective email is full.

Available Contact Numbers of VFS dhaka:
Helpline number:
+88 09666 911 380 (For Mobile Users Only), +88 09606 777 888 but these are unreachable from Mobile or land phone since these are different internet numbers

Any one please let me know the Mobile or land phone numbers of VFS Dhaka office and suggest on the above situation.
