Dear Fellow forum members,
This is my story till now. I am a June 2014 applicant. I got my PER on 8-Oct’14 and then AOR on 14-Nov’14. But then something shocking happened. I got a rejection letter on 22-Jan’15 that my application was rejected due to my funds were not matured enough. I immediately responded to their letter in writing but did not keep any hope of the thing. In April 2015 suddenly I received my medical request as they said they reconsidered.
But by then I was married and did not bother to send them anything as I got the rejection letter and thought it was going nowhere. I did my medical on 2-May’15 and added my spouse with the application. My spouse also got medical request and completed her medical on 13-June’15.
Now we are waiting for the PPR and CoPR!! It is going to be one year of my medical this May. During July’15 and September’15 they sent two questionnaire of spouse verification. Till then I haven’t heard anything from them.
I applied one GCMS on November’15 and got below.
ELIGIBILITY: Passed
SECURITY:
HIRV:
CRIMINALITY: Passed
Org Crime:
MEDICAL: Passed
MISREPRESENTATION:
OTHER REQS:
FINAL:
I have raised a CSE in January’16 which obviously they haven’t replied. Another GCMS I’ve raised on 25-Feb’16 and awaiting the report.
• Is there anyone else in the forum who is been waiting like me so long after medical?
• What is the scenario after not getting visa after medical?
• Any idea what the GCMS notes says where things are stuck?

Very shocking and also interesting story of yours. As per your gcms, you are out of danger. But something they are suspecting and taking time to be clear about that. Pls check the note section of gcms for any indication.

There is another victim in this forum and he was 2013 applicant. He did his medical 1.5 years back and then everything got stuck as his son is having some physical problem. His application is moving from vo to vo and atlast reached to Ottowa visa office for final verification long days ago. No news till now.

Medical completed but finally got rejected - got two such type of stories from this forum. But ur case is safe i think as u passed 3 stages successfully. it is really painful for not getting ppr after completion of medical. Nothing to do, just wait and pray.

Sometimes they ask for re-medical if the same is expired. Visa validity is always one year from the date of medical done

Please need your advise: "If someone just landed in Toronto and wants to return in BD for some emergency occasion then he/she may get the PR card in BD? Is there any legitimate process?"

Does any one know about educational certificate verification by IOM??? how long they take to verify??? what is their procedure.??? if any one heard about this kind of verification, pls advise.

A very important suggestion for the soon flyers, 'Do not fly Emirates ! You don't get immigration clearance in Dubai to go to hotel with BD passport.
We ended up spending 10 long hours in the Airport with our 2 years old son.
Honestly, someone should take responsibility for this cruelty.
Apart from that, the rest of the journey was OK.
People at the Canada Immigration are very helpful,
You can apply for the SIN number in the airport.
Don't forget to declare your goods, you could get your luggage checked at the immigration.

Anyway, best of luck..........feel free to ask any question

I don't know why you faced that problem? I always travel with Emirates and do not face any difficulty to get to the hotel with BD passport. To get hotel accommodation you must have hotel voucher with your tickets. Otherwise they wont let you.
