What does it mean by Paper File Location? I have seen few people talking about file location.

Paper file location tells you who is working on your file. Look at the "assigned to" line. There is a short code for the case officer who's working on your file.

They asked docs on my immigration history which I supplied them in March 2015. If you see the below image you will see its assigned to RC-6262. Do you think it is being really reviewed or dumped somewhere? If being reviewed, then taking this long is normal?

As per last GCMS, It mentioned that file was updated with Med Report, requested docs and received landing fees. it mentioned nothing new issue. Security and background was untouched since beginning.

I applied myself as like dozens of known person as well as professional of same category.


8-9 month back, I got a response on placed CSI where SGVO mentioned that my file was under security check. but how long....After med it's 1.5 years and total 5 years now!

I collected GCMS 2 times, last one year back.
I raised CSI times in the last 6 months but no reply.


Yes, there is update on medical report in ECASE- "Medical Report Has been Received"

Its a huge time. Please do the below things asap.

1. Request a GCMS note immediately. Check the hanging points.
2. Simply raise a CSE and mention that if there any concern on you Medical or application Or you missed any correspondence from them.

BTW, Did your medical get updated in ECAS?

Place a query in http://www.canadavisa.com/ or call their call center.

You may also try changing something in your current application.

Something like present address or your job (if you have changed your job recently).

Bhai, Where is your file now?. SGVO or MVO. I saw one my friend's gcms and also seen his file is assigned to RC-6262. But his file is transferred to MVO from SGVO.

We've done our Medical at Dr. Wahab's. Found their service good and it took around 45 minutes all together. There was not much rush as we went at the eleventh hour.

I'm one of the wretched applicant probably in the WORLD from Bangladesh. All of peers, Srs, Junior those who submitted application during my time are now pp holders and registered professionals in Ca. But I'm still waiting for a positive sound from SG office. I submitted appl in Jan'11 and submitted medical report & landing fee in Jul'14 but still waiting waiting.....Allah Knows better when my turns come.

last 7 months i placed 2 CSI but no reply. So seeking suggestions from hon'ble experience members/experts. I would appreciate for any upcoming suggestion. Whether it would be wise to write to Immigration Minister?

I got a reply on cse in october from sgvo and they told me that my file is on review. they will contact me once review is done. so, the file i guess is in singapore...

No one can help in the current state. Its just loss of money and wrong decision. Please wait and request a GCMS note by this week. After getting this raise a CSE again.

Your file is in MVO if there is no exception. You can raise a CSE and ask them where is your file and what is the status.
