Yes I heard about it before on this very website by reading an article by Mr. David Cohen. When I read it for the first time, I never thought that such a nightmare would ever manifest in reality. Alas!

These new citizens will be more like immigrants who forever have to keep maintaining the status with the possibility of losing it. The only difference with a PR holder will be the voting right and jobs that require the citizenship status.

Two irritating points about this new citizenship law:
1. Applicants have to physically stay in Canada for 4 years in a 5-year period, after becoming PR holders.
2. Applicants have to sit for IELTS.

well, stay in Canada for 4 years in a 5 year period----that i heard form another source '

But, sit for IELTS!!!! ---You got to be sh$$$ing with me.....after living for 4 years in Canada....i have to prove again??? that i can talk English!!!!

Greetings Mr. Sajib from Sydney, Australia :). After a loooong time i entered today in the forum and was going through some posts and saw your post.
Recently i applied for GCMS through my younger brother who is living in Canada and i used my Aussie debit card to pay for GCMS notes. Cozz all Aussie debit cards can be used for international transactions. It's not mandatory that you must use a credit card. So as your card was not accepted, you should chq with your bank whether there is any prb or not.

Raisa's Hubby

Thank you so much. Happy to see your post after a long time. We July applicants are really depressed with the activities of SGVO. Please share your information after getting your GCMS notes. I have tried with other 2 cards (International Debit & Credit) also but same results.

Dear Bhi,
"Transaction not approved" related to Card Issuing Bank. I think you need to communicate with Issuing Bank before make such E-commerce transaction.

Guys, check this link on this bill

https://bccla.org/2015/06/its-official-second-class-citizenship-goes-into-effect/

I am hearing about this first time, any thought on this?

Thank you vai for sharing a very important news for me and for my family.

We encourage you to share this with your friends and family and to let them know about these important changes to the very foundations of citizenship in Canada.

Let's say no to second-class citizenship!

It's time for me to rethink and take the correct decision, should we move to a country where we will be considered as a second class citizen with lots of discrimination. Racism is a semi hidden truth in both AU and CA, and I can ignore that since it is not so open..but this bill C-24!...no way can be excepted. For last 21 years I am serving here in my country with honour, pride and dignity. We have excepted "yes" we will do thing (odd or sustenance job) for survival, if require at all. It is just for our children and for their better future. But as per the bill, they will also be considered as second class citizen and we may loose the citizenship as their good will. Oh no!! So, what for we are running? Let me find out something more, I just have read the link and have gone exited and emotional as well. They need us to work for them like we do... Should the bill be effective or not, that is also a question. However, this is a food for thought, you may have other options than that of migration. I am shocked.
