Do they really mention the received date of VO in AOR mail?
I checked 5 AOR mails from SGVO.
It always shows the date of Application to CIC.
And Email header date.

Please help.

After 43 days of PER being recived i raised a CSE to SGVO. In the reply they mentioned it. Read my post below.........

Assalamualaikum

I have applied in the Purchasing Manager category. Received PER on Dec 22, 2014 and the online CAS shows In Process (received application on September 5th). Does that mean Singapore Visa office has not yet received my application yet? Did not receive AOR from Singapore office.

TIA

Hasnat

You will receive AOR within 30 to 45 days from your PER date.

Raise a CSE. In there just humbly request them to give your application's current status & what happened to others. They will let you know. Below is the link of CSE........

Thank you. There is no second line in ECAS. its still showing We received your application for permanent residence on June 9, 2014.
Would you tell me how to raise a CSE to SGVO.

My second question: is there any restriction if I want to apply for Express entry also?

Thanks in advance.

Below is the link for CSE......

And ther is no restriction for EE......But at this stage i think you don't need to. But it's your decision to make.

Hi, my application was received at CIC office sydney on 31st of December! Shall i be considered for 2014 rule or they gonna consider express entry? Approximately how long it takes to get first acknowledgement?

Thanks,

Rahi

AOR means Acknowledgement Of Receipt. When SGVO receives file from CIO they send mail to the applicant's to let them know that their file is with them. For example SGVO received my file on 21 November and they have sent me AOR on 18 December. But the processing time will be calculated from 21 November not from 18 December. So as far processing time is concerned it is now 41 days for me.

Thanks a lot.

OHHH you narrowly made it. You are in the current category. So congrats. And it will take a minimum of 90 days for you to have a contact from CIO. My suggestion is you send a mail to CIO about your application status after 2 months. The mail address is........
CIO-Sydney-Search-Enquiry @ cic.gc.ca and give your name & date of birth according to your passport, application received date, courier name & just simply ask to provide the status of your application. Normally they reply after 30/40 days. So by the time they will reply they will give you the updated status of your application. When they reply & if their reply is like this..........

"Your application has been received and is awaiting processing. You will be contacted in due course."

Then it's a happy news for you. Cozz it means your application has passed the completeness check and you are eligible for further processing. Definitely you'll receive the golden PER mail.

As far as i know you can land anywhere and do the formalities done. No prb with that. And yes all flights will land at Pearson intl.

I was checking a memo from Eastern Bank that came with my credit card bill, that had the title "passport Endorsement for the year 2015".

This document mentioned that for an individual annual travel quote is USD 7000 for Non-SAARC country and USD 5000 for SAARC countries.

So, if any of you traveling with Spouse then you can carry $7000 x 2 = $14000 as USD.

And $14000 USD = 16482.2 CAD. Which is over the required proof of fund for two person.

So Problem solved. ( at least for married couples ;) ;) ;) ;))

Small correction:
"So, if any of you traveling with Spouse then you can carry $7000 x 2 = $14000 as USD. " ----- the thing is not like that....

Its 7000 USD per person; means your passport can take endorsement upto 7000 USD and your Spouse 7000 USD; and from this 7000 USD you can take 3000 USD as Cash + rest 4000 in TC; same for your Spouse;

Hope it helps; There is a Circular from BDbank Forex Control Dept on this :D.. All the best:

No not ANYWHERE! you can not land Quebec, this will lead you to deport from Canada! My question is if I get 30 mins time in Pearson, then how can I complete the same? The airline will transfer my baggage to the Ottawa bound plane... u got me right? thanks Nazrana!

Bhai everyone who is under FSW knows about Quebec :). So didn't feel the need to inform about it. And as per formalities is concern i don't think it will take a little time and as you have a connecting flight you can do the formalities in Ottawa. Because you are a transit passenger. And if you have doubt you can check with the Immigration section at Pearson Intl.
