Being a member of ICAO, Canada cannot reject hand written passport. Canada only reject non-machine readable passports issued by the Czech Republic ( http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/apply-who.asp ). So you may get visa till 31st October, 2015.acuren said:Dear Friends,
I need suggestion regarding my Handwritten Passport.
Recently I have received PPR, but my passport is handwritten. But according to ICAO rule, these handwritten passports have to be phased out globally by November 2015 and everyone needs an MRP in order to fly.
So my friends, what should I do in this situation? Should I send the current handwritten passport to VO or apply for MRP and send the new PP to them?
Or, should I take the visa on the existing handwritten passport and then apply for an MRP? In that case, will I be able to fly if the visa is printed on Old passport?
Moreover, do you think it will delay or cause any trouble to my application process if I send the passport changing information to SGVO at this point?
Thank you.
Go to VFSGlobal for passport submit, ask them about it and if they say it is OK to submit handwritten passport, then why bother changing it.
