2nd AOR doesnt tell about Interview. Interview is a matter like one in 1000 cases.

Dont be so childish.
You only sent your full docs ( i suppose) in June 2010 and your status is Received by Visa office which is fine at the moment. Even March 2010 full docs senders are yet to get their status changed to In Process or have their medical !
hello
i sent full documents in june 2010 and i wrote to you that I haven't received no second AOR from the visa office , but only e-cass status changed , then i expected any experience and suggestions whether i should send a case specific query to the visa office, this is taken otherwise, so sad...
regards

Dear @imu,

VO received my full docs on 5th July, 2010. 2nd AOR is dated 8th July, 2010 and posted it on 9th July. I got it on 19th July,2010.

check with your post office and ask the postman. make him happy- you know what I meant. CHC Singapore could have sent your 2nd AOR in your email, check your spam folder as well. Your concern is the 2nd AOR and a new file number written on it. Can you check your Ecas with the CIO provided File number? why dont you write to CHC Singapore about the incident of 2nd AOR.

Shamim

CHC Singapore has many standards in timelines. They got full docs in March 28, 2010 and sent its medical but at the same time they got full docs from another applicant on 10 March 2010. he has not yet received his medical.

Anyone got status update this Tuesday?

Hi All

I registered on this site just, my warmest hello to everyone. I sent my full documents to Singapore VISA office 12 Apr 2010. Still it is at "Received By VISA Office" status.
Is it in smooth condition? You now, I travel to Singapore 6 month before, so I do not know anything about the VISA Office in Singapore.
Your helps will be appreciated.

Hi All,
My status changed to IN PROCESS today. Medical Request Letter has also been received this morning. I have one concern and few questions regarding the process that ought to be followed from this point onwards, and will write about them in detail in this thread asap.

Thanks

Hey ,

Congrats to you ...Hope things would go smoothly for you from now on ...

As per the CIC rule, if applicant completes medical examination by 01 September 2010 then his/her Immigration Visa validity would remain till 31 August 2011 (one year from the date of medical examination). So, to obtain Permanent Residency the said applicant has to land Canada before September 2011.

Now, this is the predicament:

I am likely to begin a graduate program in the US from spring 2011.
The possible program time line is- Jan 2011 to September 2012.
Now, is there any provision to extend the visa validity period, so I can enter Canada hopefully upon completion of the program? (It’s written on the Med Request Letter that the extension of the visa validity is not permissible. Notwithstanding this, would appreciate your comment on possible avenues that I could explore.)
For the time being, I am planning to enclose with med and processing fees a Cover Letter explaining my circumstances and placing a formal request for an extension consideration.

Would appreciate if you could shed some light on this rather intricate matter.
Will welcome any suggestion wholeheartedly.

Thank you

If I were you, I'd do the same as youre thinking now.
However, Jan 2011 is not that close from now. you will be able to enter Canada and then move to USA from there before the course gets commenced.

After getting my PR card from Canada if I move to US then I will be liable to maintain no more than 183 days of absence from Canada, in order to keep Residency status. If from Jan 2011 course starts, then it would be utterly implausible for me to go from US to Canada every time the183 days deadline looms over the Canada Residency status. Quite a situation!
What do you think on that?
