Dear All, Last 5 days WES shows my status : Documents received - review in progress

I dont understand what is happening there. Can anyone tell me how long i have to show this status?

Although it is not mentioned anywhere on CIC's website about notarising photocopies but it's always good to have these docs notarised. However docs that are translated into English must be notarised.hope it helps

Dear All, I am doing my ECA. My institution is Shahjalal University, Sylhet. WES received my transcript & certificate on 10th june. On 12th june they updated my status as "Waiting for verification from institution". Still it is showing the same. I contacted my controller office. they said that they usually gets verification request from WES by postal service and duly replies. a lot of time beyond my prediction is being consumed in ECA process. frustated. what can i do now?

I understand your pain. I knew one candidate from Shahjalal University who suffered the same situation from them. Please keep on checkeing with office boys and if possible give them some *boksis*..else your envalop will not be processed ever.

Sorry to say that it took 3 months for that guy to complete the WES evaluation from your uni.

What??? Via postal service?? This supposed to be done thru email.

does anyone knows if CIC starts the inquiry from Canada or after sending it to Singapore, actually who does the inquiry for the documents CIC Canada or Singapore and do they notify if the file has been transferred to Singapore?

Dear Seniors,

Please suggest me on the below issues:

1) In Bangladeshi National ID card, the father's & mother's names are in Bengali. Is it necessary to have a notarized copy for it? Or Just a photocopy will serve the purpose. I'm also submitting copies of my passport, birth certificate, marriage certificate etc. where those information are in English.

2) Is it possible to pay the application fees by any credit card of any banks (like Brac Bank, Bank Asia or any other private bank)?

3) While the CAD rate is 72.87 BDT as per Bangladesh Bank, Standard Chartered is claiming 75.5 BDT. I asked SCB customer care officer if it is possible to buy CAD from Bangladesh Bank and pay through Standard Chartered. He replied "NO". Is there any option of paying directly through Bangladesh Bank?

4) I'm showing 1 current account + 2 FDR account for settlement funds. I have collected my bank solvency certificates from the concerned banks. It it necessary to give a photocopy of the e-statements (Savings A/C) and the FDR certificates?

5) My FDRs will become matured in 2/3 months. After that I shall re-invest the same amount in the same bank. In that case, the account number may be changed. I have already added this information in a separate sheet with my application form. I have also stated that whenever any change is done related to this issue, I shall inform CIC. Is there anything more I can do for it?

Dear brother,

Usually verification works started after file transferring to SG...

And Yes they notify --Send an AOR email to applicant during file transferring to SG...

1. No need to do translation....U may take notarization only....

2. I alws prefer bankdraft.....But u can proceed with intl. transaction enabled Credit cards ...

3. YES SCB usually takes a bit more but dont think for other options for DD, since they are the only authorized for issuing DD from CIC-here on BD.

5. As per my suggestion it will be better if u could arrange something which will not change any bank acc number and have a constant volume of money (if possible) ....

Ashif bhai, now this is concerning me as well. I showed FDR as well. And if the account number changes, should that be a problem? In my case i did not even mentioned to cic anything about the possible account number change.

Asking a ques - If ur bank acc number is changed, then how CIC can verify the bank account details from ur bank...

Let me know if there is any idea-if there is any chances/ way forward for verification ....

Big relief Ashif bhai, i actually mixed up reinvest with renewal. Our FDR account gets renewed which doesnt change the account number.

If bank,branch and a/c name remain unchanged but different a/c number, it should not be a big issue.

I think I did a mistake in my ECA part. I send my documents to WES but did not put any reference number in the academic record request form. As I collected my documents from university before I paid for the account, so I did not have a reference number.
My documents are delivered, but its not updated in my WES account. So what should I do now?

Immediately contact with WES with the received date of ur docs...

Or if possible then send new docs with the ref number...This will be a more speeder process....Since for the first option WES take long time to response......
