What would be my Points for IELTS score
(R-6=4
,L-7,=4
W-7,= 6
S-7.5= 6
total=20
Will it be just 16 or 20 ?

Dear All,

I have an unusual query. I lived in USA for a couple of years in the last 10 years. That is why I need to have police verification certificate from USA also. Now, USA character certificate is issued by FBI who require finger prints. They have a designated form where I need to put my finger prints. These are taken quite differently as they require rolled impressions (turning finger from left to right etc while printing) and also normal impressions. Has anyone else gone through this in Dhaka? Abroad there are fingerprinting agencies who provide the exact service required by FBI. In Dhaka I could not find any such agency. I even went to Gulshan thana but sorry to say I have more knowledge about fingerprint than the guy who tried to help me. The impressions were not correct the way he was instructing. If anyone knows of any place who specifically help in collecting fingerprints FBI style please let me know.

How to get Fingerprinting done in Dhaka (for FBI certificate and others)

You need to go to Malibag, Special branch of Police. There you can just say at the gate you need fingerprinting. Then they will ask you to enter the building, where you can go in and talk to receptionist, who will show you to the finger printing room.

1) You will have to write an application to Inspector General, Police - CID , Dhaka - you can find an example of the application in that room.

2) You have to pay a fee for finger printing - I don't remember how much it was (maybe Tk 500/=). You can pay this fee at a bank which is situated on the opposite side of Special Branch building. This fee will be paid as Chalan.

3) After you pay the fee, take the receipt + application to that office and submit. After submitting they will call you. I got a call from them after 2/3 days. They asked me to come back to the same building, I went there and had my finger printing done. They sealed the finger printing form in an envelop after we completed the process.

4) Had to pay about an extra Tk.500/= as "Bokshish". I saw they had my form in their hand, but they were not putting their official seal and signature - were wasting time - So I just gave Tk 500/= & the guy said "Bujhtei paren, amra koyekjon to - 500 tk ektu kom hoye jay" - I replied "Ami student manush to, er theke beshi afford korte parbo na"...........!!!

5) Make photo copy of all documents, before giving it to those guys.

6) You can download the "fingerprinting form" from FBI's website. It is better to take some extra copies of that form with you.

7) The "Chalan Code" is also written on that room or you can ask them for the code. You need this code while paying the fee.

Given the number of questions on calculating language points, I put together the following tables. Just look up your IELTS band for each section and add up the FSWC points.

The FSWC points assume they continue using IELTS and that the 'equivalencies' stay similar based on:

CLB/NCLC 9: 6 points per ability

and that previously (per OP-6):
Basic was given by CLB/NCLC 4 or 5 gave 1 point per ability up to 2 points max
For IELTS test results received on or after November 28, 2008, that was equivalent to:

Today i got my IELTS score. As per below:

and My spouse got as like below:

My question is how much i claim for IELTS point and do my spouse need to sit again for IELTS? Please reply asap.

Nice that means it took only 1 day to come back from Singapore.

Your visa is going to be valid for only 33 days?!! Did you do medical last year?

Maybe that is why they expedited your case

It cannot be 18. I think if the CLB rated at overall performance, I should get 16. if its at each ability level then I will get 20 Points.

Its confusing to me. My Ielts score is (R=6,W=7,L=7,S=7.5). Can anyone have a official link which shows some example to proof.
