Since notarization is a controversial matter..several times this issue has been discussed on various thread...

I would suggest u to avoid all confusion/controversial matters. U should notarized all the photocopies u r going to submit.

Since notarization of a document will not affect ur file where its not required/but absence of notarization will affect where it is required.

Atleast all of SGVO applicants can do this ...

I have a Debit card (Int'l Master Card), which I would like to use. I have adequate funds in it, more then CAD 550, for PR application fee. Is it safe to use it ?


Or should I try to pay by " certified cheque, bank draft or money order" ?
I've heard that for BD applicants CIC only accepts draft from SCB only. Does any one know how much it costs?

Dear vaia,

Its preferable to use Bank draft over CC alws ....Coz Its more safer....

And yes only SCB is allowed in here to take the DD....SCB will cost u nearly 1350 BDT as their service charge.... . Rest of the money as per BDT to CAD conversion money.

Has anyone here done their ECA with ICAS? Do they always take 8 weeks?

Their website says it takes 6-8weeks. As per my ECA status, complete documents received on 5th May. Do I have to wait until 5th July?

I am from Bangladesh, brother. I have applied in March 17 through a consultant. Back then I was not even sure if FSW 2014 is going to open or not. But they only sent my Uni papers. Later ICAS asked for SSC/HSC docs. Complete documents received on 5th May. (1.5 months wasted here)

So now can you tell me if they are going to take all 8 weeks? Or can I hope to get it sometime in between 6 - 8 weeks? And what do you think about NOC 2281? Will it be filled before July?

Bro, this prediction is too hard.. No one can predict 2281 will fill by July or not...
Pray for a early response from ICAS, (BTW prepare all other documents), once ICAS give you ECA report...Just send it to CIC.
