Bought dollars from Prime Bank, and I found the rate to be the lowest,
with all chargers and everything I paid 80.10 Taka/Dollar and as of date its 50 paisa less than the open market.
(Prime Bank: the rate is 79.75 + Bank Charges+ 15% VAT+ 250 charges/ passport)
Please note, BRAC bank (Unfortunately my bank) the rate is 81.75 + 1% comission+ 15% VAT+ 560 charges/ passport and
(City bank the rate is 80.15 + 1% comission+ 15% VAT+ 250 charges/ passport)

Prime bank is helpful and gave service smiling. Thanks to them as it saved my 3,000 taka. ;D
Cheers

Buying dollars from which branch of Prime Bank? Are they need account of their bank? What documents they asked for? How much cash they give/passport? CAD or USD? I don't want to carry more cash rather I would like to take some instrument. What kind of instrument may I carry? TC/Draft/others?

Dear BlueDhaka,

As you are under FSW, you can't land Montreal for clear the Immigration. This was confirmed in last CIIP session in Dhaka. Thanks

Hi,

if you apply under federal skilled category with other destination province than QC, it would complicate your life.

I am explaining the situation. If your port of entry is QC, then they will always ask CSQ. Without CSQ, you will not get entered. They are now very distinct regarding their QC immigration and if I were you, I would take different route.

Try to find out any other route with different POE city than QC cities.

Gulshan branch opposite to the mosque. They don't need account. Photocopies of visa pages, passport information page and the confirmed tickets are needed. They issue USD 2,000/ passport max for adults and USD 1,000 for kids under 12 years, for one journey to non SARRC countries. I bought USD, they dont have CAD. No bank issues TC it's no longer available. You can have draft though, but you have to give more commission an you need to have an account to encash it which take 6-7 days time as it comes via Citi bank NY. Bit complex. Cheers

Just call Allah and have patience

The dollar price suddenly jumped to USD 1= Taka 81.70 today.
(Source: Trisha Money Exchange, Gulshan-02, toaday 9th October 2.15 pm.)
I believe its due to EID holidays and lots of travelers are going abroad on long holidays.
I think its better to wait till the holidays and Hajj are over, as yesterday afternoon even the rate was 80.70.
The rate is unchanged at Prime Bank, (all inclusive 80.10) I went there again today.

Cheers.

Hi, well, your flight route is DAC-DOH-Montreal-Ottawa. Qatar Airways will come upto Montreal. Then from Montreal to Ottawa you can take a domestic flight or take bus or someone can drive you to Ottawa. Nonetheless, Immigration will NOT be a problem just because you landed in there.

Btw, I'm flying on November 12th to Ottawa by Etihad Airways.

Brother, are you traveling for the first time in Canada as a PR? If yes, then why you are coming to different route and suggesting other people to use QC as a port of entry.

If you dont know the situation, then its fine. But please do not make other people's life complicated.

May I know why is there a complication to use Montreal as a port of entry as mentioned by mosev72?

Thanks for your straight forward statement. It's good that you disputed my opinion.

Okay, I was 100% confirmed before posting my comment. After your posting, I just called Canada Immigration call center in Montreal. The immigration call representative re-confirmed me that any port of entry is valid in Canada if there is a reason.
Thus having multiple ways to come into Ottawa having immigration done at Montreal airport is absolutely welcomed.
