Where can I get CAD cash, Draft or TC in Dhaka? Please share who has experience. I want to get Canadian dollar.

Oh dear,
You can collect CAD$ directly from any money exchange without any document. I took from Gulsan1 market. Yesterday in TD bank in Canada, rate of exchanga was 0.9 CAD$=1US$, opposite of exchange rate of Bangladesh.

Yes, need transit visa. Airport at Dubai will arrange it. For that, Emirates will pay. No tension.
You should move from Shahjalal airport by Emirates of 7:10 PM, not later. If later, remember, hotel at Emirates will not supply dinner after 12:30 AM, local time of Dubai.

Dear nnfall, Yes they provide hotel nearby the airport, but only for the night flight EK585. If you got morning flight or evening flight they will not provide hotel. But there is a catch, if the night flight is fully booked and someone is bound to have the evening flight they will provide the hotel. But never ever for morning flight. Just today I went to Emirates office and verified all these issues while I was reconfirming my tickets, seats, meal options ( I requested 02 kids meal for my kids) and hotel for Dubai. They issued me a 2 room accommodation requisition slip against my PNR. Airport check in counters will provide the hotel and meal vouchers while issuing boarding cards. with that vouchers the Dubai immigration issue the exit permit to hotel and it is free of charge. And for late night flight dinner is served at the plane.

Just to share, you can check in Emirates online from home 24 hours prior to your flight, and it's very convenient and time saving. You can also choose your seat options at that time. You recieve an automated bar coded leaflet with return mail and you need to print it (or take it on the multimedia phone/ i phone) n show it to the airport check in counters. They simply scan it and issue the boarding card, (there is a dedicated desk for online checked in passengers and is usually empty, while there is usually a long que for the Dubai returning workers at ZIA). The other finding had been the weight issue: any one can increase the weight from 23 kilo upto 32 kilo by paying 50 us dollars at the airport and someone can buy additional 23 kilo luggage with 175 USD and upto 300 kilos limit ;D.

They also happily acknowledged my existing skyward number to get the milage credits against it. And lastly they made me understand again n again, what is what and What I am to do where. They are really cordial in helping you out in every possible way. Cheers.

If you are just staying at the hotel provided by emirates, then u don't need to do anything. The airport will do whatever is needed on arrival.
But if you are planning to go outside and visit Dubai, then as normal you would require a visa, and have to get it from Bangladesh.

They dont issue transit visas to Bangladeshi passports from Bangladesh. Only visit visas are issued, where you are to have invitation from UAE or online hotel booking deposit slips along with the confirmed ticket and Emirates staff said there is no guarantee for the VISA issuance. Its bit complex and tricky.

Ziaul bhai,
As of 2nd Oct, the exchange rate is 1 USD = 1.005 CAD (when someone sells, its almost equal), at TD bank, Canada.
Then 10,000 USD = 10,050 CAD. Your information shows 10,000 USD = 9,000 CAD!! I am confused!!

Correct me If I am wrong. Best regards

Hope to land in Toronto Sunday afternoon.

Can anyone tell me whether 'goods accompanying' and 'goods to follow' list needs estimated price of the goods?

thanks

Dear Brothers/ Sisters

As per new law Beginning August 1st, 2013 can I apply to Quebec Immigration with French Test TCFQ result as A1, A2 result? A1, A2, B1 has 0 points. FYI with 0 French point my point comes as 59! But the question is can I apply with A1, A2, B1 in TCFQ or have to score B2 at minimum? Information given in the Qubec site is not that clear.

Please help. Thanks.

Actually the rate was US$ 1=CAD 1.05, not 1.005
