I have received my medical request day before yesterday.

I don't have the machine readable passport (MRP).
Is it needed to convert my passport to MRP?

Please update me someone.

Brother you dont need the MRP to do the medical, after doing medical you will get 1 month to get ppr.
Suggest you do your medical and immediately apply for MRP. Once you get the MRP inform visa office
or during your passport request you can give the mrp along with the manual one. It will not effect your
application because the MRP will have reference of your manual passport number.

Dear Respected Forum Members,

As Salaam U Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah.

I am Planning to fly for Toronto by Turkish Airlines on 28th of July 2013, Insha Allah.

We, (A couple of 10 Families) bought ticket (of different dates) from a reference of one of our Respected Senior Forum Members, and we got the ticket really cheap, ever cheaper than IOM.

So, if any one is interested to travel on the same day, please contact me. I am eagerly interested to have some known Co-Flyers from Dhaka.

Mr. Nasir(not forum member) was 2006 applicant. Delayed to have child because wanted to move to Canada first. Finally became a proud father of a son 18 months ago. Last month I had a long discussion with him while he was telling about his future plan.

Unfortunately last evening he passed away (May Allah the almighty grant peace to his departed soul).

Difficult for me to say more. Please join me to pray for him and for his family.

Inna lillahi wa inna ilahi rajiun. May allah keep the departed soul in peace.

I got my ppr along with my Mr..but it was delayed due to my daughter inclusion.by the grace of allah i have received my daughter medical with shortest time..

One of my friends email who moved Canada end of 2009. Sharing this email for my Finance & Accounts friends:

Great Rana, congratulation. I live in Mississauga, its a 40 minute drive from scarborough. I am also doing CGA. If you want to build your carrier in F&A, CGA or CMA are the options. CGA is of core accounting and CMA is of managerial accounting.

Most of our community, I found, go for CGA. There are other options too. Take a look of CRM, FRM or secretary courses. These are very good things to enter financial market- banks, investment companies, in less effort and investment. I suggest finance guys to take look of other options before making final decision.

Whatever decision you take, it is better to take admission from back home. I took my admission in Seneca College from Bangladesh to do CGA courses. It will save your precious/ expensive time in Canada.I am good right now.

MRP is not a must. Your valid passport will be required for issueance of visa, whether it is handwritten or MRP. Since visa issued for 1 year, your passport expiry should not be less than that time period.

I got my visa stamped in hand written passport while rest 3 of my family members got it in their MRP . I did not go for MRP as my existing one is valid until 2018 and I have 5 yrs US multiple visa in it.
