Dear All,

Today I got a response of CSI as bellow:

"The medical of your spouse is pending assessment."

I did my medical on 1st week of Nov'2012 and submit all passport on last week of Nov. What should i do/ can do now??

Experience member please suggest on this situation.

Since you have already submitted PP no worries from your end hoping that spouse medical results are fine. Just wait.

The other thing probably is the 110 volt issue for every electrical appliance. Nothing matches, all the PC, cell phone, camera chargers are to be bought complying 110 volts or an adapter converting 240 to 110.

Appropriate winter warm cloths are available now and probably till march. I think its better to buy from lots of available options now, (opposite to dhaka college and 1st floor of new market, Just dont go to any malls). Good brands like H&M, GAP, Zara are ample with various sizes with 1/10th the actual price (Referring to tights, leg-gins, comforters, wind cheaters etc). Some of them are selling multi layered proper outdoor working jackets (Namely CAT, Du-pont) and I bought one for my brother with 1400 Taka, its unbelievable. (The regular price tag CAD 120 is still on it).

For shoes probably its something with good grips underneath, no flat sole and till ankle. Get to google image search with canada winter shoes, it explains all.

If some one has better experience, ideas we could share.

Thanks. You r right about clothing. Now this is high time to get winter cloths in the market opposit of Dhaka College. Really a good thinking.

Dear Forum Mates

Will there be any exvhange loss if I endorse USD in PP when I will convert USD into CAD at Toronto?

Please suggest.

My sister and my dulabhai along with 3 kids took CAD 25,000 cash in hand without endorsing anything. My architect friend also carried 26,000 CAD with him without endorsing just couple of months back, They declared directly at canada customs.
Probably I read in a leaflet, according to BD Govt. baggage rule, you can carry upto USD 5000 without declaring anything, legally. (But once an immigration officer asked me the money I am carrying and he endorsed those by hand signing on the last page of my passport!!!) If someone buys dollars for outside, its difficult to endorse them from any financial institute, they wont. They want you to buy those from them And the highest amount you can buy is 2000 USD anually. So things are pretty peculiar. But if you have any FC account, you can endorse limitless according to the account balance. (But usually we dont have Foreign Currency account).
Anyways if any more feedback on this light.........................on this confusing but important issue.
