Dear All,
I am September 2006 applicant and sent update documents on January 2010 but I have not received any message from SGVO. All of you know the present situation of Pre February 2008 backlog applicant’s status. CAIPS is the easiest way to know the current status of an application but one of my friends told me if I apply for CAIPS notes then there will be negatively affect on my application and may be problem for further processing. I didn't know how it is affected negatively.

Forum member please help me regarding this issue.

I repeat: It absolutely makes no difference to ur case processing if u obtain ur CAIPS/GCMS notes. It doesn't concern ur IO as to why/when/where/how u retrieved ur notes.

I think, Pre February 2008 applicants whose NOC is present in MI2/MI3 (29 categories), will be kept for further consideration; of course, it is my assumption only. And I am afraid that, similar move may happen when MI5 (MI4 already released for PhD candidates) will be released with a new list of NOCs for FSW...
Best,
Rakib.

Dear Rakib Bhai,

Would you pls. let me know NOC CODE- 4163 exist in 29 categories or not.

Thanks
Jackdaw

Dear I am both pre feb 2008 as well as pre june 2010 applicant (2 applications pending.... :) ).

For your information, in pre Feb 2008 cases, your ecas says "In Process" as soon as you are issued AOR by CHC. And this status keeps on showing same until you get a visa (or rejected), in which case it starts showing "Decision Made".

So practically there is no significance of ecas showing "in process" in such cases. :(

You will come to know whether you come in the Lucky 20,000 applicants only if you order CAIPS or just wait for any communication from them.

Sorry.... I know you wont be happy to read my post.

Dear lokoloko0 ... i m happy to read your post.. i dont want to stay in dark.. thanks for the response

Today is another Tuesday!!how many Tuesday have passed!!Oh God! I am tired of checking ecas and seeing the status "received by visa office". When'll this status may change..do anyone have any idea??

Tuesday comes, tuesday passes .... My address did not reappeared........................

I think no body has address in ecas

canadal0ve,

One of My colleagues wrote Geylan instead of Geylang in his forms and when he said that CIC made the mistake, CIC replied that the applicant did it in the forms and CIC can always correct the address lines. its the applicants who do these type of mistakes and eventually suffer like you.

You have done your part by requesting them to correct the address and its now their concernm to do so. write a postal letter to them referencing what happened so far and what you want to do now. seems like they have less interest on making correction of your address.

khan04,

This is the ideal time for applicants like you to order CAIPS. orders of CAIPS from Pre Feb 2008 applicants, especially after the latest proposal of returning back the applications will earn them a heck of a good $$$$$. CAIPS are fetched from Ottawa and its the regular routine duty of a VO to attach ordered CAIPS into the applicants' files.

CHC Singapore has finished updating their Ecas database only 15 minutes ago.
Everyone check your Ecas for any update.

Dear Jnathan ,
For my case its not a typo mistake , the address in my e-cas not known to me its an address in Brampton Ontario address :(

I have never heard CIC's database getting so irking before after they shifted to GCMS.

Dear Jackdaw_flick,
NOC 4163 is NOT in the 29 catagories.
Please check the following link:

Thanking you again Deba_avik. One more question:

Do I need to send a letter in written and send by post? Or, email is alright?

Thanking you in advance.

You can change via email (get sure it is your correspondence email. put file number/UCI number, DOB, Full name, your previous address and intended address)

or

Online service https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/security.do?app=coa

or

fax

or

sending hard copy.

I believe Fax is more effective.
