mahbub bhai, visar validity ki 1 year? multiple entry?

I thought that the VISA is for 5 years but you have to enter CANADA within the first year,, or some say within the year of medicals or PCC.

practical experience would help a lot!!

Hi imu and all,

As per your advice i've sent a mail to VO inquiring about the birth of a child issue and to my surprise they responded promptly basically with the same information you provided here in this forum.
I like from there mail confused me a little and I send them another inquiry regarding that but though also share this in here so I might get you views too on this. That is -

2. Updated Application Form with new born details: - Page 2 of Generic IMM0008 and Additional Family Information IMM5406. You can download the forms from www.cic.gc.ca

I asked them -

1. The IMM0008 Form has changed since I issued my application. Should I use the new form or use a copy of the version that was available at time of my application?
2. Should I send only the second page or the whole form needed to be filled and sent again? Its confusing cause the second page of the current version of the form doesn't seems to have anything to do what a family member information.

Please do share you advices too.

Oh... for the people with the 9-11 DM Issue, In my mail they said "Your file is pending review. " so I really starting to believe that its a system error. Lets see.

Hi Samdhaka,

VISA validity in passport is 1 year from the date of medical taken date. Only single entry. From this discussion forum, I know that VISA in passport will be cancelled in airport at first POE.

COPR (confirmation of Permanent Residence form) will be signed in canada at POE and this document will serve as VISA, then we will get PR card which is valid for 5 years.

Your Canadian relative's passport photocopy, PR Card Photocopy , His / Her birth Certificate are necessary to submit. You can also submit his / her bank statement and Salary Certificate if you can arrange. For more information, you can visit CIC website.

Normally they reply same day if you email them in the morning. If you do not get reply in two days(one week), then u will not get it anymore. This is my experience.

The problem is when I download the new form, Its completely different from what was available at my application time. And Page 2 of this form seems has nothing to do with the info for a new born!
Or what am i missing here!

Dear Hasib Bhai,

I had also submitted my passport on Sep 04, 2011. My PPR letter didn't ask me to include any photos; so i didn't. Till today the E-CAS is showing in process. That mean they probably will ask for photos as well. I am a pre 2008 applicant and PPR was sent through postal mail on Aug 05, 2011 and I received it on Aug 21, 2011. I guess they will request photos through postal mail as well. I am very frustrated and angry that they can mess up things like this. I even had taken photos with me to submit at the Dhaka visa office but they said not required. I don't know what to do now.........

Anyway, i have sent my photos via express courier service an hour ago

Please be ready to send photos when they asked for it. We have to satisfy the visa officer by any means, though they can asked during PP request. Just need extra courier bill>>>>>
