I have been asked to submit updated documents. While completing the ECONOMIC CLASSES FORM, what can I enter in Assets? Can I show jewellery in assets. Please let me know.

today one of my dentist friend gave his UCI no to check his status
He is august 2011 applicant,Got PER on DECEMBER,2011
Today I checked his E-cas--It shows in process
Inside the in process -We received ur application on august 2011 nothing else !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I participated in IELTs exam in july,2010 and submited all documents along with IELTs result in aug,2010.
I have heard that IELTs exam result validity is for only one year and for all backlog friends who are waiting for more than 1 year for their MR is a great concern for them. so, should i have to appeard in IELTs exam again or not??

EFFECTIVE December 23, 2010: If you are submitting a language test with your application, the results are now valid for 2 years from the time you took the test, instead of 1 year. This change applies to Federal skilled worker, Canadian Experience Class and Business Class Immigrants (investors, entrepreneurs and self-employed people).

I heard there's a new chief (word of mouth). Didn't know if it was male/female. But I heard this 'news' in November 2011. Do you know when this person joined?

Anyway, let's hope to see some acceleration in the processing speed.

Whatever, I believe that they received our IELTS in due time and won't require further IELTS. However, if you want to score up, you can go for further IELTS.

NO. You cannot show Jewelry as asset.


As per the Instructions guide (IMM EG7000) for Federal Skilled Worker Class on Page 31 it states...

10 Funds
Indicate the amount (in Canadian dollars) of unencumbered, transferable and available funds that you have. This amount can include the value of any property that you own, but should not include jewellery, cars or other personal assets.

Not acceptable are:
-bank accounts in someone else's name;
-bank accounts which are joint in your name and someone else (other than
your accompanying spouse/common-law partner);

I made general query on 13-December-2011 and then case specific query on 28-Dec-2011. I got same reply for both my queries 9ie, two replies) on 29-Dec-2011 as..'Dear sir, Your file is still pending review. Please wait to hear from us'.

I think, you will get the same reply.
Do you have a paper file number (Bxxxxxxxxx) assigned by SVGO? there is possibilities that, files are processed according to this serial, not by application file number, assigned by CIC, Nova Scotia. My last 4 digit is 3683, that reflects file serial. I know guy who filed application to CIC after me, file transferred to SVGO on same date (24-March-2011), but got paper file serial between 86 and got maple leaf visa.
Check your 'B' file number with me and we may get some clue for delaying our cases.
Please update us if any change in your status happens.

My B file last 4 digit is 2876.....So what we can guess from this?.....We have to collect few more samples?Right?Please let me know if you have some updates...
