Hello friends,
I am on the same boat from Bangladesh to Canada. When I had applied for my PR in 2005 I was a master of economics and there was an one year diploma in my education. I have understood diploma is not counted by the visa officers for immigration. So I have decided to take 1 year Executive MBA courses and now I am going to sit for second semester final exam from 19th instant. I hope the course will be completed by the end of 2009. But I received my docs update letter dated 08.05.2009 which states I have to submit all the papers by 07.08.2009.If I send the documents within the stipulated time I can not claim points for my MBA course. My wife is a bechalor with three years of experience.I am counting 4 points for my wife's adaptability. But my consultant is in doubt that the visa officers may not give 4 points for adaptabiility and to be on safe side he is insisting me to retake IELTS.Do you think I should retake IELTS for one point or more? Your opinion will help me to proceed accordingly.
Thanks all and hope for the best.

Dear Syed,
Thanks a lot. Actually I have heard it from my consultant as two of their earlier files with diploma have been refused. Mine is a computer related course from local institute not govt. recognised. So, they are in a doubt. To be in safe side they insisted me to do MBA and retake ielts.
regards.
Dear jalams2000;
Today I have seen your postings also on the trackitt.com"; there have already been quite a few discussions made.Cool!!! I probably would have noticed it earlier if you could post it under the thread of
"ALL BANGLADESHI APPLICANTS FORUM". So, did you find your deserved answer after all?!!!!!!!!!!
I really appreciate that finally, you considered asking through the
"ALL BANGLADESHI APPLICANTS FORUM". Dear Syed, I am grateful to you once again for your well thought answer for jalams2000. I think that your advice is perfect in such situation.
Dear jalams2000, from your posting, what I can understand that you received consultancy from professionals. Please
do not take it otherwise!!! I have tried to form
"ALL BANGLADESHI APPLICANTS FORUM" to help Bangladeshis like me. I am neither a lawyer nor a foreign immigration expert. But I believe that Bangladeshis should communicate to Bangladeshis
FIRST because they
deserve it. What I also believe that there are a lot of crucial but complicated factors in all immigration process. Canadian PR procedure is no exceptional. So, it is absolutely natural that we want to be over sure as we want to proceed to apply for it. That is why we need to communicate with others, read through other's inquiries, advices etc.
In about last one month, I have observed hundreds of queries on Canadian PR procedures made by people all round the world. I have keenly observed those queries and I have also gone through the replies for those queries. I have found that
“Most of the questions are based on very basic or fundamental issues”...like, point assessment, probable interview questions, filling out an application form, NOC, PCC, required funds, language proficiencies to name just a few. And all these topics have been discussed in each and every forum like this one on countless occasion. Most of the questions are
NOT JUST made on very basic issues but they are also very straight and very simple to answer. There are plenty of basic/ fundamental issues clearly discussed with detailed necessary information in common websites like;
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/index.asp
http://www.hrsdc.gc.ca/eng/home.shtml
http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/en/index.html
As well as
www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/index.php
trackitt.com/canada-immigration-trackers
And so on and on. On the top of all these, if someone goes for a professional consultancy, it should usually happen, because he /she has got some kind of complex and technical issues that need professional hands to resolve. Thus, in my opinion, such applicants should reply to basic questions of others in usual cases.
Dear jalams2000, please forgive me if I say something foolish,
“what type of a consultant" have you contacted who cannot specify/ determine
yet if you really need an extra few points to qualify?! How come they remain in doubt about your diploma, because previously a couple of their clients were refused?! Above all, after finding you
“more than half the way crossed” they signal you that
“you are NOT PROBABLY on the safe side?!” I am sure that it is very annoying to you as it is to me.
Based on your descriptions,I personally think that advices from Syed and dipkona were just.
Now you surely have the right to make more inquiries but in your situation, my
ONLY advice will be there please
DO NOT become more confused! This is your time to
ACT not to FUMBLE around.
Thank you.
