I think it's enough time to finalize your immigration formalities. In case of delays let them know your scheduled connecting flight status. I also heard they are very cordial enough to issue next scheduled flight free of cost in case if you lose the connecting flight because of immigration process delay.
When are you planing to fly? Is there any relatives in NS? Please share how you arranged accommodation and your plan for initial accommodation arrangement.
I am planning to fly February 2016. I am fortunate that I do have relative in NS, otherwise program officer will never nominated me.
Initially, I was planning to stay in a hotel near downtown(city center of a province) but rent of per night was so high that encourage me to look for accommodation near metropolitan area of NS.
Now I am trying to rent bed and breakfast apartment/house which is cheaper than hotel in metropolitan area. Bed and breakfast apartment is fully furnished with internet, utensils, bathroom, kitchen and laundry. You may rent it out for day basis , weekly or monthly.
I am planning to rent bed and breakfast apartment for 2 weeks until I get a suitable accommodation in NS .
I tried to rent a bachelor apartment/ studio near downtown area but real state agent wants a grantor who is Canadian citizen to take all liabilities if I failed to pay rent, previous Canadian home owner/current Canadian employer reference , and Canadian bank credit history.
Unfortunately,I am not able to fulfill any of the criteria. So, I have omitted apartment rental plan for now, and will try to find out suitable accommodation after my arrival.
