Dear Sir,
No problem. I have already mentioned that this may be limited to USA/Canada/UK/Schengen Countries/Japan/Australia/New Zealand bound passengers from Dhaka and not for all other destinations. One of my friend and friends Bro in law had visited with their family to Canada and USA respectively in past. You can tell this is monopoly business by Dragon Air/Cathy Pacific and strongly NOT appreciable. Well, best of luck. Thank you

Dear M_Bd,

I read your input in this forum about the HKG visa requirement for Bangladeshi passport. I think you could better see the link below from HK immigration dept's info.. This has implemented since 2009.

http://www.immd.gov.hk/en/services/hk-visas/visit-transit/visit-visa-entry-permit.html#notes

Then click on Bangladesh visa requirement link...

Remarks:

* All nationals are required to hold a valid visa for the HKSAR for whatever purpose (including those who are in transit and remain on the airside).

^ All nationals (except holders of Diplomatic and Official passports) are required to hold a valid visa for the HKSAR for whatever purpose (including those who are in transit and remain on the airside). Holders of Diplomatic and Official passports may visit the HKSAR visa-free for a stay not exceeding 14 days.

# Holders of Diplomatic and Official passports may visit the HKSAR visa-free for a stay not exceeding 14 days.

Thanks..

Dear Shamrajjo,
Seems interesting now! Well, it is now better to let you know a history. I went to UK & Schengen countries last year via Dubai by Emirates. During ticketing and later talked with Emirates official and asked them to apply for 96 hours UAE transit visa. They replied UAE govt. not issuing neither transit nor tourist visa to Bangladeshi passport holders for the last two years. After my return back to home country one of my friend's spouse asked me as they are living in GCC country and her bros & sis's living in US as permanent resident so they want to get together at Dubai during their transit at Dubai on the way to Bangladesh. Thats why they applied for UAE transit visa in New York but unfortunately visa was refused. I quoted this history because if you go through UAE immigration or UAE websites you will still see that they are offering 96 hours transit visa regardless of nationality, so in special circumstances some airlines manages concern immigration offices to do monopoly business. And Dragon Air/Cathy Pacific is one of them. I am challenging you because I have proofs, as I've mentioned in my previous post. Again I'm mentioning " Those Bangladeshi passport holders traveling to USA/Canada/UK/Schengen Countries/Japan/S.Korea/Australia/New Zealand (Only) from Dhaka by Dragon Air/Cathy Pacific (only), they DO NOT require any transit visa & V.V. However I would request you to call Dragon Air, Dhaka office tomorrow and ask them. I don't know why we are arguing? Just call to them, matter of 2-3 Taka and you will be informed or even you can call to your travel agent to know. I hope you would call tomorrow and confirm all the forum members here too. Dragon Air, Dhaka office Telephone No. and Address are stated below :

Dragon Air :

Reservation No. : +880 2 881 8782
Global Aviation Services Ltd (GSA).
2-3/F, Baliaaree, Plot 30, Road 130,
Gulshan-1,
Dhaka-1212, Bangladesh..

Kind regards

Hello Bro,

I am not challenging anyone. Just would like to let you know that, last year (i.e. 2014) on 17th August, I received last transit visa in Dubai Airport, as I had stopover 06:45 hours(as mentioned for Business class , for economy class I guess 8 hours).

I have pure Bangladeshi Normal passport (not diplomat not even Service Holder) and I do not had any PR during that time.

I hope this information might help.

Regards,

Apology please, I forgot to mention about HK. For Hongkong you need transit Visa if you want to leave Airport or your onward Journey is not on Cathay Pacific. Condition However if you do not have any Checked in Luggage you are good to go without Transit Visa.

Actually you need the transit visa for HK to transfer your luggage, However if your onward journey is on Cathay Pacific, the transfer is done by Cathay pacific. Yu have to just give your luggage coupon to the transfer desk.

I hope this information might help you.

Have a nice day.

If you did not put your profession as "Govt/autonomous service" in the profession column in your passport application form - there is no problem. If profession is shown as "Govt/autonomous service" there is clue for immigration officer and he/she may ask for appropriate documents for exit as well as immigration visa.

Hi Akash bhai,

Bangladesh immigration in Dhaka airport shouldn't make any trouble as long as you have any visa for Canada with ticket either one or two way. So don't worry..

Thanks.

Tkanks Shamrajjo and Saleh Masud vai for providing valuable information. Saleh Masud vai, in my passport government/autonomous is not mentioned in the column of profession.
