If you go to USA as student, it is better to apply from USA (select US visa office, not Singapore)

Brother, for PR, applicant from USA, the visa office got to be CPC-Ottawa.

If you apply from Bangladesh, you have to select Singapore as Visa Office. It took around 2 to 2.5 yrs to process your visa at Singapore VO.

If you apply from Usa, you can select CPC-Ottawa as your visa office. It took around 6-7 months to get your visa processed from CPC-Ottawa.

Dear Brother,

Thanks for you kind cooperation.

I got the information from below link for USA -- New York – United States

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/skilled-fed.asp#west

Could you please clarify me regarding visa office?

I had some query:
1. As I have to show my job and bank statement from Bangladesh so it will do any affect?
2. I was in England so I had come back in Bangladesh at end of November 2012. I collected Police clearance certificate at May 2013. So, As It has over one year so I need to connect another one or I can process with older one? Please inform me.

Best Regards,

Julakah

Apu, for PR, applicants from USA will select CPC-Ottawa; if not PR, then New York. Check here at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/apply-where.asp

1. Your Job and bank statements in Bangladesh won't affect anything.
2. Your PCC could not be older than 1 month. You can send it later and now only send old one with a letter that after collecting PCC, you never went to UK. So, in case a PCC is required, VO will ask for it.

Cheers.

HI,
I am an FSW-2014 applicant and have received AOR on 8th July,2014. VO is Singapore :( :( :(. Few days ago, I have received an admission offer for MASc. from one of Canadian universities.
Now, my first priority is of course FSW. But question is, if I accept this admission and eventually apply for "Canada Student Visa", will I lose FSW? If answer is no, then should I inform SGVO/CIC about my situation after stamping student visa? What else I have to do?
Dear experts, please suggest.

Brother,

As per prev FSW applicants whom tried to apply for study permit...they are usually refused..(thats what I have heard)......

And there is no necessity to inform SGVO particularly for this application of study permit.

Dear experts,
1) As a settlement fund do I require to submit only the bank solvency certificate?
2) as an asset can I show my stock?
3) Can I show my jewellery as an asset? If so then how can I provide the evidence of its value?

Thank you in advance

Hi everybody!...

My application was received on 10th of july by CIC.

Now can anyone pls tell me for how long i have to keep the money in my bank account? I have lend the money from others and i have to pay them back!
As per my understanding, i have to show the money to Visa office singapore or they may checked the amount which is still one or more year to come. So my plan is to accumulate the money later again.

Is it actually necessary to show the fund? Do they really verify? Some of my previous relatives told me they do the same like me.

Pls need expert suggestion

Buddy,

1. Bank Cert along with Bank statement is preferred (when u have more than 2-3 month maturity of that money).....

2. I am afraid its not accepted..

3. Its not accepted as a Settlement fund .....

Good luck...

Jewllery settlement fund na ami assest hishebe dekhate chai. Ta ki possible?

I have seen applicants shown this -as asset, although I have avoided it.....And showing this- will make zero difference as long as u have the required settlement fund in liquid form ...:)

One more question about settlement fund, should the amount mention need to be on CAD or in TAKA for bank certificate or FD certificate.

Buddy,

It will be preferable and suggested to show the balance on CAD also (along with Taka..)...:)

Recently I emailed my actual job description (list of main duties), the exact job title; the education required for entry into the occupation and the type of organization I work for. And asked them to advice me if they match the title "account manager" mentioned in NOC Code "1114 : Other financial officers". (As no main duties have been mentioned for "Account Manager" in the NOC page, I needed to do this)

They replied :
"Based on the information that you have provided, the following National Occupational Classification (NOC) code may be appropriate for the occupation that you described. Please verify the link below to ensure that the education, main duties and employment requirements correspond to your occupation. You are in a better position to determine whether or not this NOC code reflects your job.

NOC Code: 1114 Other financial officers (account manager)
http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/NOC/English/NOC/2011/ProfileQuickSearch.aspx?val=1&val1=1114

The final decision for selecting the most appropriate National Occupational Classification (NOC) code is each individual's responsibility as you know your education, skills and abilities better than anyone else. However, the ultimate decision remains the responsibility of Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) as they are the only ones who have the authority to determine if the information provided meets their criteria."

Based on this response from HRSDC, can I apply with my actual main duties being mentioned in my reference letter ?

Someone told me that, if my main duties mentioned in reference letter do not match exactly with the main duties mentioned in NOC page, my application will be returned. All the clerical officers at CIO want to see is a reference letter, matching the duties stated on the NOC list for intended NOC. They are not subject matter expert or professional headhunters.

Brother scorpio939 ,

U have already taken the best feedback from HRSDC....
