What people are telling that it's already Below freezing in Alberta and snowfall took place 2 weeks ago.
Ontario is yet to see any snowfall or temperature below freezing. Crime rate is high in Alberta and there aren't much to live there unless you have your business. it's the same for everywhere, Canadians would never hire you if they found a native Canadian for the jobs you applied. Life is optimum when you can find a work in stores but these days business is slow and store managers are continuing their daily activities using one employee where he would need 3 in general conditions.

Doctors with big hopes are hereby being cautioned that they need to pass a few hardcore licensing exams and then wait for 2-3 years to get the license to practice in Ontario. for other provinces you don't expect a Canadian would come to a South Asian doctor for treatment.

For IT graduates, PhD degree holders from University of waterloo is working as Coder for IBM where usually he should have been in research programs. coding is the lowest form of IT work any IT professionals does.

Everyone should bring Factory safety shoes , a mop, cleaning experience from their countries.

Still there are hopes, you have your kids who will not struggle like the immigrants as they'd be habitual and used to these conditions.

This strikes the most when you are not picked up anywhere holding a PhD but seeing a high school drop out being picked up with Canadian experience.

Here Money erodes fast and some jobs those immigrants are doing are mostly contractual jobs and many living on miserable conditions. Many Indians and Asians have already left Canada after getting the PR cards/passports. The thing I'd recommend everyone, build a solid network in Canada. if you have no strong network ( relative, friends) don't come to Canada. You will lose your lifetime savings in a span of few months.

Read your previous posts...I'm just wondering, you are at PPR stage and have been waiting for almost 3 years....if u re so sure that life in canada will be bad, and your life in your homeland is good, why don't u cancel your application and NOT go to canada...They r not forcing u to come....u applied and are going there by choice...you are at PPR stage, why don't u tell them u don't wanna go, and save yourself from the canadian nightmare to come (as u said in your previous posts that life in canada will be a nightmare and will ruin our dreams) ...... If you believe in what u re saying, WHY haven't u cancelled your application already ??

If your intention is to prepare people for the hardhships to come, trust me, thank u very much, EVERYONE knows it, that initially they ll have to struggle for 2-3 years after they land, and hi-fi jobs will not be waiting for us on a silver platter (its common sense)....

we all are adults, and know what the pros and cons are of immigrating to canada....I have family/friends all over canada/usa, and ALL of them LOVE living there (and some of them went to places where they did not know anyone).... I'm sure a lot of people here also have friends there, who have already told them about such things...and even if u don't have any friends, still people know about this intitial struggle phase....

so kindly, feel free NOT to share these misguiding/discouraging/depressing/negative comments....these forums are meant to help, not to discourage...

Further, If u think canada is SO bad, and the weather/job market is SO bad, and going there will ruin your dreams, u always have the option to CANCEL YOUR APPLICATION, and NOT go. But if u still decide to go (which I know u will), kindly stop discouraging others from going.

I was in canada for several time.Life is tough but remember canada is a country of opportunity.
I love canada cause it is a beautiful country in all aspect.Very few says negative about canada but trust me canada has lot of opportunity.So try there.

Dear member,
I had applied for PR on Quebe investor category. I got my CSQ and submited my application for PR at federal Sidney office, Canada. As I informed that the file will transfer to SVO. I had submit my application to federal it is almost one month but could not get any acknowledgment from there.
Will any one help me to inform how much time it takes for the Aknowladgment ?
