Congrats to all who got their ITAs in the recent draw..wish you all the best for the future...

I have a question regarding the police certificates. I got my police certificates from the countries I lived in till the age of 18, last year as I was planning to apply for FSW 2014. But, unfortunately I couldn't apply as the time ran out. Now my question is, If I get the ITA(which i am expecting to get in about 1-2 months since I have a score of 400), can I send those certificates or do I need to get new police certificates? How long are the police certificates valid for? Any idea?

Thanks in advance.

I am also in the situation, but in CIC they say they need a certificate that we got within less than 3 months.
So I am not going to take it again now, only after I get ITA. I am also at 400.

Not required for Canada? You mean not required if residing in Canada at the time of application?
Meaning if you resided or are residing in Canada for 6 months or more, you do not need to do a Canadian Police certificate. On less CIC specially asks for one further down in your application process., which I think is rare.

I am living in Canada since May 2013. I had applied for FSW 2014, but file came back since caps were full :(

Now, need fresh police clearance certificates. Was wondering, after reading the post, if I would need PCC from Canadian authorities or not? If yes, do we need finger printing or just a PCC certificate?

guys, i have 2 question and i would highly appreciate it if any of you can share this.

1. is it mandatory to create a job profile after creating my EE profile? i just talked with someone that he got an ITA without creating a job profile. i didnt know that it is optional. can anyone confirm this?

2. i've already completed EE and im also done with my job bank except for the fact that i have not yet activated it. the reason i havent activated it is because i only put the relevant noc codes work experience in the job profile, while i leave the rest out. and i worry because the work history between my EE profile and job bank profile is not exactly the same. should it be exactly the same? and would that count as misrepresentation if it is not?

Activating the job bank is mandatory, without it your profile does not qualify to enter the pool

If you already have an employment offer at the time of creating your express entry profile, then it is not mandatory to create a Job Bank Profile.
As CIC would instead ask for the details for the employer who has raised the offer to you.

If you do not have an employment offer at the time of creating express entry profile, then it is mandatory to create a Job Bank Profile.
You do not get an entry in the pool unless your have created your Job Bank Profile. Once you do that, it get activated and the same reflects in your application details (check you myCIC account). You would receive a letter from CIC stating that you have been accepted to Express Entry pool, when you create job bank profile using the validation code provided by CIC.

Hi Guys,
I am filling my EE profile & need some advice for filling my educational details. I have mentioned the terms typical to the Indian education system, so my non-Indian friends - please don't get confused :)

I have completed my MBA(1 year) and B.Tech.(4 years) and have got ECA assessment for both as Masters & Bachelors respectively. I have accordingly filled 'Bachelor' and 'Master' in those 2 rows. Can you please suggest what details should I provide for my secondary education (11th & 12th standard). Directed queries below -
1. Do I even add this third row for 11th and 12th?
2. Would I need to provide ECA assessment for this too? I believe ECA is only for post-secondary (after 12th standard) education.
3. If you suggest to add this row & if ECA won't be required, do I say it was 1 year (12th) or 2 years (11th & 12th)? Because if asked to provide certificate for this, I will only have the 12th standard certificate.
4. What do I fill in the level of education drop down - secondary diploma(high school graduation), 1 year program at uni, college, blah blah or 2 year prog at uni, college blah blah? I don't think the other options are relevant.

Hi..I have a quick question -

My wife is getting 475 points in CRS tool when she doesn't include me in application...

If she include me in the file then points are 429 because of my ECA and IELTS not done.

Question: Can she create express entry profile without mentioning me in the file so she can get ITA and later after her PR is done..she can sponser me??

Please advice.

Read up about misrepresentation. If you are married you cannot apply as a single. The scores are dropping and you might find she gets an ITA soon or you can get WES and/or IELTS done.

The last draw cut-off points were 453. You are 429 so you might receive ITA soon. Just apply as a couple.

Hi,
I have a query regarding work experience, when i was pursuing my masters i worked as well and it was full time pay job (1 year), is it valid as 1 year work experience. Also without this one year my points are 396 and if i include this one year of experience its 408, what are my chances of getting ITA.
