@Jilaniroy: Select option 1. Option 3 means you DID NOT complete your studies which is not the same thing as "yet to complete."

I am currently a PhD student in Canada. In EE profile, under education section, I add my PhD studies as current education. But then it gives three options to select, 1) in good academic standing but no degree or certificate awarded, 2) degree of diploma awarded, 3) not completed. What should I select? since I am still studying and I expect to finish by the end of this year.

Thanks

Working 40 hrs/week while you are a registered as a FULL-TIME student does NOT count as work experience for ANY permanent residence application submitted to CIC. Previously it did, but not anymore. Therefore, you'll only get points for your foreign work experience.

and a follow up question!

I said in my EE profile that I don't have valid job offer (although I am working on campus 40hrs/week) because I though if I say yes, its gonna ask for LMIA number, right? which I am not sure how to get.

any help?

1. It doesnt make any effect you can create a EE profile.
2. Apply for EE and province (if you meet their criteria) and if you get a PNP then you can edit the EE profile any time you want and update.
3. Once you create the profile you will get the points calculated by the CRS and kept in the summary of your EE profile.

Good Luck
+1 if this post helps! :)

Thanks, It was very helpful.

Mention the date from where you can show your experience.

It should be the day when I completed my Bachelor's Degree. Professional occupations require professional degrees to become qualified. So I believe, that it should be the day when I completed my education (Bachelors not Masters).

Any other comments

vishal..check for ITA status coloumn..mine is also updated today..

I have submitted my EE on 12th Jan 2015..linked it with job bank on 13th Jan 2015 and my score is 364 and today on 15th Jan I got the update in my application for ITA status :- "No invitation at this time"..Can someone please clarify why its changed to this status, has draw already happened ? or is it normal and everyone have this status before 1st draw supposed to happen on 26th Jan ?

Guide says - No invitation at this time means that you have not been invited to apply at this time..so does this status means I am not eligible and already out of race for Jan draw ?

Thanks

are there any extra points for Canadian education? friends please reply

Yes,

Hi, I registered a profile on EE on Monday, Jan. 12th but I still haven't received an email with a verification code for the Jobbank or any emails from CIC and I don't have any messages in my CIC account. The status of my application is as follows

Where is this application? Details
Application/profile status
Province/Territory Nomination No nomination at this time
Job Bank Registration Pending
Review of Minimum Entry Criteria Met
ITA Status Not Applicable
Review of submitted documents

So, how much time does it usually take for them to send that letter with a code out?

Usually the message comes immediately .. Not sure what is wrong with you...
I would suggest you to delete ur profile and start over again..

Hi JKal,

I am bit confused, is below given ITA status is common for all, I didnt noticed what I got initially, but is there any recent progress in Jan draw ?

"ITA Status No invitation at this time"

Regards
@m!t

It looks like its common status for all as of now and it might get changed for few people after Jan draw (The people who will get invite)..maybe few other people can confirm it.

Could anyone pls tell me what should I choose for the following field just at the start of the eligibility check:

Which province or territory do you plan to live in???

I want to apply for the whole Canada, not a particular state.

If you choose a province then you have to first land inn that particular province when you are landing for the first time.
Say for instance you mention Ontario then you have to land Ontario first ....NOT any other province.Thereafter you cango anywhere except Quebec.
