Withdrawing is scary ! , I have called before and all they said that I do have an application.

I see some people having success with CIC call centers but I really don't know how do they get to speak with nice agents !! ( any advice - which extensions should I dial lol ?? )

I don't know how to do what you have just descried. And I think it would be scary to take that gamble , because technically they can just make me wait for another 6 months. Honestly I am disappointed with the way they are handling the some cases, I am from an African country and when I applied to Quebec they got an expert to check all my documents because it's been years since they have seen any one apply from my country ( again that's Quebec ) , but I am pretty sure there is some sort of discrimination in the system , you see some nationals from certain countries getting their application approved in a couple of months , while others wait. - All in ALL - I hate CIC - & I am sure that they hate me too.

Don't withdraw your application because that won't be a smart decision to make since your deadline of October is fast approaching and CIC has confirmed that you do have an application. If you have extra money to spare you should reenter the pool and file another application, this will trigger a duplicate app when they are going through your application therefore they'll quickly process and finalise one and withdraw the other.

Can I do that , I am a CEC mow, as I have 13 months of full time Canadian experience as a Mechanical Engineer. Should I enter the pool regularly ?? can you guide me to any thread that can help me with that .

Regards,

Yes you can. Since you initially filled under FSW, file another one under CEC so once you receive a decision for one they'll automatically cancel the other but you might loose your application fee. The duplicate will definitely trigger a movement on your original application.

Please let us know if you are actually able to do that. I can't imagine that when you enter your UCI that you will be able to file another EE entry when one is already in progress.

I'll do it by tonight . And provide my feedback here.

So I called CIC on Friday. I think they pick the most ********* Canadians to work at CIC call center. the guy was not help at all. in addition , he was Quebecois ( worst ever ) I was selected by Quebec but I refused to apply because they are racist to everyone , they are even racist to french nationals lol . bottom of the story don't call CIC , and don't plan on living in Quebec ( My Own Opinion - I am sure you have yours )

I live in montreal for last 1 year or so .. i dont know a word of french .. i never faced racism or discrimination of any sort here so far .. :) .. Quebec has better social and family welfare schemes than other province ..

I completely agree with you on this. In fact I found Montreal to be quite relaxed compared to Toronto. The atmosphere in Montreal is very friendly, whereas Toronto is quite grumpy. Also women are quite beautiful and very approachable in Montreal.

I come from the south asian part of the world and I have never felt discriminated in Quebec. Been there many times from Montreal to Quebec City for work purposes, and never have I felt discrimination. I think the only problem is the language barrier, other than that it is a beautiful province.

It's Monday morning in India right now, was driving to office, checked my mail at a traffic signal and what do I see? A PPR!
What a blockbuster Monday, how on earth did CIC send this on Sunday evening is beyond me, but a PPR it is nevertheless!

Looks like there's a pattern here: CIC is checking applications in chronological order, and not by the day the application was submitted, but by the day ITA was received. Seems like those FSW applicants received ITA on March 27th are getting their PPRs now. CEC applicants are definitely moving at a much faster pace.

I'm not sure that is quite true. I got my ITA before that I'm still waiting. I think a lot of it depends on how much paper work they have to go through and verify as well as just the general pace the VO is working at. I'm FSW inland.

Are there any complications on your profile, like your family situation - previous marriages, children from previous marriages, or maybe administrative charges etc.? this might delay processing of your application.
Or maybe you've got a lazy officer))

im not convinced, im March 27th ITA and still waiting on in process.

Nothing special/unusual about our app.

Nope, none at all. Single, no job changes, positive LMIA job offer, paid all fees upfront, etc. Everything has remain the same for me.
Although, I might have just gotten movement! I just decided to check my status on Mycic, even though I haven't gotten an email, and I just saw that in my messagebox, I had an "updated" listed under status. So, I clicked on it and saw nothing changed. I logged out, went back in to make sure I wasn't misremembering this and the updated status has changed to submitted.
So, maybe I just haven't gotten the ghost email yet. Hopefully I will!

That happened the day my BG check went to in process. I got ECAS decision made that very night. You should see something this week.
