I have heard about NMI that their behavior is not good. BTW, IOM is good, get your appointment on monday and reach as soon as possible on exam day.
If you want to know what tests will be there, read my following post.
Here are the steps that you'll be going through;
1) Receptionist will give you a small bottle and will tell you to go in toilet and bring urine sample. Wink
2) your weight, height and eye sight will be measured. (my Weight= 102 Lips sealed, Height= 173 cm Tongue, and sight 6/9 Cry)
3) your blood sample will be taken out (I think for HIV, TB, Hepatitis etc) and blood pressure will be checked.
4) This is the most crucial part.
Doctor will briefly interview you about your medical history, (like any one has diabetes, cancer, kidney stone, etc in your family?, Have you ever been hospitalized?, Do you smoke? (This question is typical for many people Wink and have you got any surgery? etc)
Then will tell you to take off your shirt. Then she will check your heart beat.
Then a nurse will check your skin if you have any allergy or infection, your tongue, throat, etc.
I got strucked in this stage. Actually due to the new atmosphere, and bit confusion, my heart beat got very high while doctor was measuring it. My heart was beating so rapidly that I easily felt it, at last doctor asked me "Are you a heart Patient?" Embarrassed
Finally doctor will give you an envelope and will suggest you a laboratory for X-ray. It take maximum 5 minutes for getting your chest X-ray.
And yes all this STORY happens only in one day. Try to reach earlier so that you will get your turn earlier.
