Guys. I got the link to the portal to start my application BUT even though I have the Alberta Digital ID, I haven't verified this one yet because I don't have a driver's license nor an Alberta ID Card (which will take time to get).
Can I still use the AINP Portal without having my AB Digital ID verified? I don't want to start my application yet, since I'm still collecting my documents, so I haven't tried yet to check if works.

Yeah that's not mandatory, outland applicants have nothing to verify. Verified is needed for other services not AINP.

You posted in the Alberta forum. Post elsewhere to get more answers. Are you even eligible for Express Entry to enter the pool? You need 67 points based on your age, education/ECAs, work experience and language skills. That is your first step and then calculate CRS score.

My worry is that my previous company has been sold to another company and I am unable to get a proper reference letter from them, Its around 7 years since I left the company, So I approached my Ex-Manager who has also left the company and is freelancing as a consultant in another firm to write me a reference letter. This letter is not on a letter head and hence I am worried if my application will be rejected on the basis of this. I have attached a Letter of Explanation as well, stating the reason to upload this reference letter as no one from my tenure is currently working at the previous firm. Do you think this will be a problem? Also typically after submission and fee payment how long does it take to get an approval from AINP and when will medicals and Bio-metrics be collected ? Thank for any info in advance.

Do you really need to show an experience that was 7 years ago? You only need 3+ years of experience in your EE profile to get maximum points and AINP asks you to mention and submit letters for only the experience you're claiming CRS points for in your EE profile. Also be advised that AINP really only cares about your experience in your primary NOC. You were selected based on your primary NOC and Alberta expects you to work in your primary NOC when you immigrate to Alberta.

Thanks for your quick reply, according to my Immigration Consultant AINP requires 10 years of experience apparently. I am not sure. Just going with what my agent has told me. I am a bit worried about this situation. Logically I am now working for the past 6 years in a firm currently and they have issued me a proper letter, which I am assuming should be sufficient ?

May I ask your NOC? AINP does not require a specific amount of work experience; although it wouldn't be surprising to find out that more experience improves your chances. If your current employment of 6 years is in your primary NOC, I'd say that you're better off not putting any other of your experiences but only your current one in the work experience section of your EE. I'm not sure what "additional points" you're referring to but you get max points for your work experience in;

About personal history, it is not the same as the work experience section in your EE profile. The work experience section is where you claim CRS points for your work experience, which you will be required to prove by providing work reference letters. On the other hand, the personal history section, which is not visible in your EE profile until you receive and invitation to apply (ITA), is filled out for all of your activities such as education, employment, and even unemployment in the past 10 years. It is mandatory to list all activities (including all your past and present employments) in your personal history.

The big difference between work experience and personal history is that, you are not required to submit work reference letters for the experiences that you listed in your personal history but not in the work experience section. In other words, by putting a work experience only in your personal history, and not in the work experience section, you may choose not to claim points for it, in which case you will not be asked to provide work reference letters.

The details of your application may be different but I suggest you talk to people here who have your NOC. I've never heard of any application that really HAD to show 10 years of experience to get more points.

Hi everyone, I need some advice. I had this issue below regarding the payment of the fees after I submitted my application and it wasn't fixed. I couldn't reach the offices. Now my application seems cancelled as I couldn't pay and in order to create a new application I need to withdraw the previous one but this time, I can't see the previous application where its supposed to be. I already sent several emails and tried to reach to the offices, but they don't respond (their lines are always busy).

I don't want to waste my NOI but it goes in that direction. Do you have any suggestions?
