Hello,

I have a situation that I have applied for my wife's PR which is in process now, but she is visiting me in Alberta with a visitor visa.

I have a full time permanent job and got the insurance coverage from work but not a good coverage for spouse, but I was told that I could register her as my dependent for Alberta health card from any registry.

If not I believe I have to go to Canada Place and issue "Visitor Record permit" to issue a temporary health card for her.

Any suggestions and ideas regarding this or who has good experience with these situations. Your replies are much appreciated.

Your wife should qualify but it is important to make sure you have sorted out your health coverage before she gets pregnant.
