I'm planning to book my flight tickets, according to all of your personal experiences which is best? to book online or to get it locally ?
Which is cheap?

COCHIN - TORONTO, that's what i need!

Thanks

In my personal experience, if you are comfortable to book online then go for it because there will be few discount coupans + credit card offers etc.
If you will book through agent then you have to pay his fees also. so ultimately there wont be any huge difference but atleast we can save few bucks ;D

Any specific site suggestions for online booking?

Try these airlines:
1. Jet Airways (Kochi-Delhi-Toronto)
2. Emirates (Kochi-Dubai-Toronto)
3. Etihad (Kochi-Abu Dhabi-Toronto)

use makemytrip. yaatra . com type websites.......figure out those rates...
and go to a respective website of flight and check rates of same flight....

wherever you get cheaper ticket, book :D

Jet got 15Hours halt in delhi! :(

Emirates has an almost 4 hours stopover in Dubai. Operates MWF
Etihad has a 3 hour stopover in Abu Dhabi. Flies every Tue, Thurs and Sat

If you want, you can take low cost airlines to Delhi, then catch connecting flights to Toronto using foreign carriers, although this will cause you to have 3 flights instead of just 2.

hey govz which flight did u take?
me flying on 4 th september..any tips?
jet airways
cochin-delhi london -toronto

I got the cheapest flight through an agent
Online rates were high
Best site is kayak.com
If u want an agent find an IATA agent

what i usually do is start the search ahead of time. I call travel agents and get the price every week for the dates that i want to travel. at the same time, i check online prices (there are sites that can track fares for you for specific dates and send you an email anytime the fare changes). Prices can and do vary from time to time, sometimes within a span of days.

In my experience, you can find cheaper deals with travel agents. But every now and then, you will find a good online deal (which btw does not last too long). It also depends on what airlines you fly with.

Expect to pay between 1200-1400 for a return flight on a decent 3-4 star airline (chinese low cost carriers are cheaper if you just want to get from A to B)

according to me it is better to go with travel agent, due to competition they will reduce the agent commission from airline and they will charge only a nominal fee of INR200. purchasing directly from airline website ending up paying additional govt. taxes like sales and service.

Check farecompare.com
