You can re-apply right away. Fix whatever caused the rejection in the first application
and send your application again.

PNP processing times right now are 16 months
and CEC is about 12-13 months right now. So if you apply now, CEC would be your best bet.

The 16 months processing time is not always 16 months, AINP especially is a lot faster than CEC in the recent times. Approx it takes around 8 months from the date of application submission to CIC. It takes around 2 months to get AOR and 1 week to get MR from the date you receive your AOR. After that based on criminal and security checks, applications are processed.

The overall process of PNP applications is faster.
From beginning, to becoming eligible and getting PR>>

PNP: 16 months
CEC: 12 months ( work experience needed to become eligible ) + 12 months processing time = 24 months

So if you already have the 12 months work experience, CEC is the way to go.

Well, AINP avg is 10 months in most of the cases but best thing about AINP is once you are nominated you atleast not have to spend time waiting for result..I am waiting for CEC reply from last 10 month and 25 days now..My GCMS says review required due to miscalculated exp from PGWP instead of convocation but still taking 11 months just for rejection is too much

What do you mean by 'at least not have to spend time waiting for result'?

i mean...once you are nominated you are confident that PR will go through, but i guess even in CEC once u have required experience it usually go through...also i checked from AINP that you need to be with same employer n in case u lost job in between it wont go through..so i suggest CEC is a better way

Exactly, if you meet all requirements for CEC class your application will be approved.
Same for PNP.

Plus Ainp requires you to work in Alberta permanently. But based on my 4 fellows, they got the approval in less than 9 months. Since they have a pilot project for food counter attendants and the lessened criteria for skilled workers, it might take longer processing times. I am too planning to apply for Ainp while waiting for my MR ( got my file number this April ).

From my experience and understanding PNP is any faster compared to CEC, go for PNP

Hi Neochan,

Do i need to take another ielts? I heard it requires me to submit the original copies of the documents. So how long have you been waiting for both?

Thank you
