Hi, I would like to get an answer from people who obtained PR through AINP working in foodservices industry.

One of candidates criteria is: "Have a total of three (3) years of work experience in a job directly related to food and beverage services (abroad and/or in Canada)." According to document checklist to prove that you need to provide reference letters from your ex employers.

My question is: Does AINP requires reference letters only, or maybe something else?

PS I have worked as a waiter for 2.5 years, and now I plan to work as a food counter attendant. Can I apply under this stream after 9 months?? I will have in total 39 months of experience in "food and beverage services", but not in the same occupation tou.

Thank you.

Anyone? C'mon, there has to be someone who knows the answer, I simply can't find it anywhere :)

Unfortunately you can not apply for the following reasons 1) food counter attendant is a ineligible occupation and 2) the deadline will only be Nov 28, 2013.
However if you have at least 6 months working here in Alberta with Food and Beverage server work permit, you will be eligible to apply before or on Nov 28,2013 for AINP.

No it isn't. Read on the website.

That's not a deadline for the application but for additional allocations per restaurant location.

You need at least 9 months. Please don't provide misinformation. Again, check their website.

If you happen to attend the AINP webinar then you will be cleared.
Try to open the ineligible NOC for AINP its there and definitely Food Counter Attendant is INELIGIBLE to apply.
I wonder where on earth did you get your info but its all in here
http://www.albertacanada.com/immigration/immigrating/ainp-eds-semi-skilled-criteria.aspx#foodservices

For your guidance.

Furthermore, I am talking here about AWE or under the self-nomination stream that Food Counter Attendant is INELIGIBLE to apply.
http://www.albertacanada.com/files/albertacanada/AINP_srs_AWE_ineligible_occList.pdf
However if you are still in your current permit as FCA and your employer likes you then they can nominate you but the deadline will be Nov. 28.
The updated criteria of AINP last Sept 13 calls for a Nov 28, 2013 deadline. Hopefully they can extend it for the benefit of others.
All the best.

For your guidance - there are 3 categories under Employer-Driven stream: Skilled Worker, Semi-Skilled Worker and International Graduate. If you go to http://www.albertacanada.com/immigration/immigrating/ainp-eds-semi-skilled-criteria.aspx and scroll down a bit you will see the following:

"Industry: Foodservices (pilot project)

Eligible occupations:

Food and Beverage Servers (NOC 6453)
Food Counter Attendants (NOC 6641)
Kitchen Helpers (NOC 6641)"

So that's where on Earth I found that information. Please read my question in the first post, I've nowhere stated that I'm interested in self-nomination. The link which you provided for ineligibility relates to totally different stream eg. Strategic recruitment stream.

About deadline: If you pay attention to Hotel and lodging industry, it is stated "The 2013 allocation system in place before this initiative will apply to applications postmarked or delivered in person after November 28, 2013.".

Also, a link which you provided for food services states "If you are an Alberta employer who has not yet used your one allocation per restaurant location to date, you can apply to nominate up to 20 per cent of your entire workforce per restaurant location until November 28, 2013 <b>and still have your one allocation per restaurant location available to use under the pilot later.</b>"

All the best.
