I noticed the date with USPS stamped on the envelope is Nov.10, 2010. I don't know why it took almost 22 days to deliver the mail to me from Buffalo. I think that is the reason why I need to wait so long to get it.

I am keeping my fingures crossed. I moved to Calgary on Work Permit in Augusut. But the immigration status keep you away from many benefits. If you have PR, you get more accessibility to everything.

I will update you as soon as I hear anything.

Oh thats not good. 22 days to deliver. But thanks to god, it got delivered.
My AINP letter of support was sent from AINP Edmonton office on 5th July this year and never reached my US office. Then I had to request AINP to fax me the letter, using which I got the Work Permit stamped in July end.

So glad that it finally reached you....ignore the delay, just enjoy the happiness of getting close to your permanent residency.

I'm seeing your timelines as Work Permit based on job offer after nomination. I got nominated for AINP as well and send the documents to Buffalo and falls under July Applicant. Let say if there is job in Alberta, what all the options we have to get the permit? Can you please let me know?

call your financial institution to check if your moneyorder was enchashed. if it was encashed they will print the file number on the back of your money order.

A fingerprint check is required for you, please follow the instructions below and send to the Canadian Consulate in Buffalo when you receive the assessed prints.

The Buffalo RPC does not accept RCMP police certificates based on a name check. The RCMP record check that we require must be based on a FINGERPRINT check.

Applicants appearing for fingerprinting will need to bring photo identification.

A fee is normally charged for the fingerprinting service. Fees may vary.

Have your fingerprints taken by your local RCMP detachment or local police service.


For additional instructions, you may wish to contact the RCMP at (613) 998-6362 or on the internet at

I received and did what they were telling. I mean get he fingerprints and send them to Ottawa. They will send the report directly to Buffalo.
