Hello,
I got nominated by ainp earlier January 2014.
I am in plans of getting married end of January,
Do u think is this a bad idea of getting married at this time, or should I file and get my pr done and get married after. My fiancée is on study permit and is this marriage gonna effect any of her status.
Thanks.

Suggest you better consult a lawyer for getting a perfect answer. Else, ull get incorrect and multiple answers. as far as i have researched on this, better give ur marriage some time. m not saying to lose that guy, u can definitely get engaged n be in a relationship. later on when u get ur PR, u both can get married and he'll get PR automatically. and vice-versa if u get rejected for PR, when he gets his PR, u can get married to him and ger ur PR. look at ur long term goal and be practical.. also consult a Lawyer. but dont lose the guy if he is good. get engaged.... Did you actually READ the original post? The OP is male, for a start....

And you are incorrect when you state "u both can get married and he'll get PR automatically". There is nothing automatic about it. The new spouse will have to be sponsored as a member of the Family Class.

You were right about one thing however, when you said "Else, ull get incorrect and multiple answers.". Yours is the first.
