AINP applicants from Jan 27 ,2016

Hi guys,
I applied AINP under engineering occupation category but my work permit (PGWP) is expired now. It was valid when i applied.. as per my information engineering occupation category applicants are exempt from the need to keep the work permit status valid.
Will this effect my case?

Under engineering category SRS, work permit is not required time of processing

I was expecting that it would take a month after FN.
Does it actually take that much time? Anyone?

Well, i have not tried calling them and i am probably not going to until i absolutely have to. Calling them would increase processing time. Since January the applications in queue has decreased from 90 to 70. Not too sure if a bunch of people applied after Feb. safe side they processed 30 applications in 3-4 months. It is probably going to arrive soon. I will let you know when it does.

I called them and asked them what is the status. They told me my decision has been made you will get your decision in mail soon.however, they didn't tell me what is the decision.

Paul, see this person got his nomination and he applied after you.
So I would suggest you to make a call to AINP.
It shouldn't take this much time for SRS Engineering category after you received your FN unless they require additional information.

Hi In My case. I mailed my document on 28 Jan.Received by 29 Jan. I got the rejection on 8 march because of I do not hold Post Graduate Work Permit( they lost my work permit). I have the exact copy of my file which I made it before I mailed it to an AINP and On this file I have found my work permit copy after my passport copy. I explained everything to them about my file. On Friday, I got an email from them saying that They have reopened my file.

same as my boyfriend. he submitted his package on Feb 4th and got returned in end of March saying that he filed in a wrong form...
actually everything's right, it was AINP messed up the category. We resubmitted in April with an explanation letter. Did you call the AINP or just mailed the file back to them?

I am so sceptical now. Maybe i will give them a call next week. Also they process applications file by file. Just because i applied before someone does not mean that i will be awarded with nomination before them. Same thing happened with my PGWP, i got it 2 months after my friend who had applied 2 weeks after me.

I got contacted last week for T4 and recent pay check.

I guess i am lucky lol..

So i have a question.. does it almost guarantees that now i will get the permanent residence?
